Do we like landscape painting? Meaning do we like painting landscapes? Or do you mean to ask 'do we like paintings of landscapes'?
To answer the first question: Like most artists starting out my early paintings were of realistic landscapes, seascapes, village scenes. I quit painting these because I discovered, at least in my own experience, that there was only so much that can be said, from an artist's view point, on canvas through the rendering of landscapes and I realized that I wanted my paintings to explore a wider spectrum of life. So I moved towards surrealism, then more abstract works. I enjoyed landscape painting. I just didn't enjoy it enough to spend my life doing it over and over again.
To answer the second possible question: I like paintings of landscapes if ... they are well done and they somehow emotionally involve me in the work.

Although i don't do landscape paintings, i do study those i like. Most of my work is done on commission and have prepared myself to paint whatever a client may want, but as of yet have not been asked to paint one. My work can be checked out at hellosanantonio.com under artist name ''Guerro''.
