I've anwsered this question before and trust me I was a long time believer in the fishermans trick (If its to small throw it back) for many many years. there is no right or wrong answer to this question... Well it sort of does. It needs to be the *right* size, and I don't mean the bigger the better. Especially important that it is attached to the right guy. They say it's not the size, it's how you use it. They are correct.
