Someone on here mentioned a Wishing Well idea.

So I was thinking "Wishing you well" We could put Advil, prenatal vitamins, bandaides, vitamin e, ect....Basically things for the medicine cabinet. I'm not sure if it a good idea or just stupid.

no the bride isn't pregnant but my mom says that you should take them anyways cause you never know when it might happen.

It sounds like a practical idea, but maybe a little. . .dry? Maybe you can do a theme where people "fill" different parts of the home, and the medicine cabinet is one place? So, on the invitations, some would say, "medicine cabinet" (first-aid/beauty items), some would say, "pantry" (kitchen), some would say, "boudioure" (bedroom :) ), and some would say, "entertainment center" (living room). And maybe the invitation can be shaped like a house?

Good luck. Sometimes the best gifts are the most practical. Pepto-Bismol may not seem sexy, but a medicine cabinet full of options when you aren't feeling well beats crotchless panties anyday! (And you can always liven up the boring Pepto Bismol stuff with lotions, perfume, hair products, etc. Sample-sized stuff is cheap and you can load up on it.)

Let me ask: is the bride pregnant? That's the only way this idea would make any sense. But it's a well thought out idea, very creative, and you should be proud of it. I'm getting married to my sweetheart, Sam, and need an idea for my shower. I think my matron of honor is doing a beach theme (I'm not getting married on a beach so I don't think it makes any sense.) Not the point. Whoever you're throwing the shower for will just be glad you care that much about her and will enjoy anything you give her. God bless you, Sugar.

I'm not sure if you're mixing up a Wishing Well, that is part of many showers, with a Wishing you well theme. For Wishing Well ideas, check out:

If you want to do a Wishing You Well Theme, I would make categories, like "wishing you happiness, health, travel, good fortune, etc.". Then assign guests a category, and request a related gift.
I think to design the whole shower around medical supplies, although practical, would be a little depressing.

Wedding Shower? We did one as a sex toy party, and then we did a "nice girl' wedding shower too! It was fun! message lotions, sexy dice, vitamins that were 'aphrodisiacs', and teas for the libido for him too!
Baby Shower? We did a Baby shower/Mommy Shower...Everyone bought the baby an item, and a Mommy item...(Lotion, razors, scented body oil and candles, curling iron, hair color, press on nails, gift certificates to favorite restaurants, ice-cream coupons, and such!) It was well received, because Mommies get forgotten sometimes at the Baby shower! Lastly, the Grandmothers all pitched in and bought a baby sized Piggy Bank, and passed around the pig for all to put in their spare change or whatever.

I think the idea is a bit odd. If I was the recipient, I would kind of wonder to myself what it was all about. I already have a medicine cabinet full of stuff, and most people like to pick out their own meds anyway.
How about turning your idea into "Wishing you relaxed" or something?

That's okay, put things in a nice decorated basket - but skip the prenatal vitamins, that's just rude.

That's kinda cool. You could have little medical-related favors and invites.

I've been to ones where the theme was recipes (everyone brought a recipe card) and bridal tips (everyone wrote down a bride tip or story) and lingere.

this wishing you well might be a better Idea for a baby shower.
I would save this for when she announces she is waiting for little jr...

I think for a bridal shower you need something for the bride.
What does she like? A theme around her favorite colors, animal, hobby, or even tv show.
A theme of man and woman differences, in a humorous way...
Like what does he like? who knows the groom better?

typical gifts for wedding shower:
lingerie
books about sex or financial planning for couples
scented candles
perfume oils,
bath products

again, these are the typical ones:)
for weddings, you could then give the medicine box filled with medicines:)
