BY the way, I went to a Roman Catholic Church for MANY years until I was able to educate myself and make a decision for myself.

You are partially correct, friend.

Christians are not to condemn, lest they be judged. Jesus did not condemn the non-believers, he actually condemned the religious zealots who thought they could enter the Kingdom by works and looking down upon others.

Not so. Any Christian who treats you badly for your beliefs is NOT representing Christ at that moment.

It is true that quite a lot of christians believe that they are better than those who are not. Sad but true. Not the right way though. Jesus said let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
We are to tell others of Jesus love and forgiveness and to warn others of impending doom and the judgment of God for those that do not accept Him. It is a commandment of God to us that believe.
You may get a dirty look and then maybe you are interpreting the look as dirty when it may be confusion. See believers often know how different their life is since coming to Jesus and we can't understand someone rejecting the greatest thing that can happen to a person.
Jesus wasn't accepting of people who were religious and thought that their religion would give them a pardon. But he was gracious to those that were lost in their sin and so should believers be.
I apologize for any bad experience you may have had with a christian but don't give up on all of us. We are not all like that.

While they shouldn't give you a dirty look when you say you won't go and that you're not Christian, I don't think it's being judgmental or nonaccepting to say they will pray for you. As a Christian it is my right to pray for whoever I want even if it's Osama Bin Laden. Your taking it the wrong way. We pray out of concern for a person's soul and happiness, it's not a threat or curse. I don't believe I'm better than anyone. I do believe that it's an honor to have a deeper connection to God than some. This is a little underated, but if you found a store that gave something great away for free to anyone that walks in and asks for it, would you keep it to yourself or would you want to go and tell everyone. That's what Christianity is, we want to get as many people to find the free gift that is salvation. Sometimes we can get a litlle bit frustrated, but I think it's understandable. We have many imperfections and no one seems to want to understand that. They seem to want to use our imperfections as an excuse as to why they don't want to even see or try to understand what we're talking about. You don't want to see that you're only doing yourself damage not us. Don't mess up your chance at eternity just so you can prove a point. If you are waiting to find a perfect Christian, you will be looking until you die.

That is a common mistake. Christians are supposed to be accepting and non-judgemental. You are correct. But tell me, can you be accepting and non-judgemental? How about if you knew there is only one way to heaven and hell is a terrible place? Then you had to act in society like you should accept others religions, even though you know in the end they are going to perish in a lake of fire. We are dealing with life and death and yes, some Christians are way too pushy. But think about it. Wouldn't you be? It doesn't make sense to believe something and not to try get people to understand.

Do not judge Christianity by Christians. Judge it by Christ. If you believe Christ's teachings, then it should be your duty to help others believe and act the same way. Stop complaining, start doing.

Why do Christians think . . .?

(because we can)(smiles)
That because they believe in their god they are better than others.
That this section is answers is for Christians and Agnostics and Atheists need to find somewhere else to go?

( This is a religion and spirituality thread , therefore I dont think its just for christians)
That telling someone that is not Christian that they are going to hell bothers them?
( I dont tell people they are going to hell)

How come they always bother me in the store to go to their church and I tell them I am not interested (trying to be polite) they give me a dirty look when I tell them I am not Christian and since I will not go to their church, they are going to pray for me? HELLO NOT CHRISTIAN
( I dont know why they would give you a dirty look, seems to me to defeat the purpose.....however when a christian says they are going to pray for you, it has nothing to do with your faith but theirs and its a kind gester not intended to be mean)

I thought "Christians" are supposed to be accepting and not judgmental?

( I am accepting to an extent, if someone is doing harm to me I dont accept that......as far as judging, we all judge others as you are judging now however we should not judge others, or hold ourselves in a higher regard than others. The measure we judge others is the measure God judges us.)

Hahaha.. so you were Roman Catholic too huh?

I dunno.. I think it's all very judgmental... and unfortunately so... it's funny because Christians/Catholics I know want to 'pray' for Muslims but Muslims believe in the same God. And then they hate Jewish people.. but at the same time respect them somehow (lol weird).. I dunno. I don't understand how people can be so judgmental.. personally, I see a lot of flaws in it all..

Btw to people saying something about Christians/Catholics about being special in some way, isn't it in Jewish belief that Jewish people are special in some way too? How WRONG is that by the way?

In Islam nowhere does it say Muslims are better then other people... in fact, preaching is wrong in the religion.. you are to educate if one is ignorant or completely uneducated but you are never to preach! And in Islam it says people are all equal (yes, women and men are equal, contrary to popular westernized beliefs that women are degraded in the religion whereas in fact they are empowered).

Lol, I should be Muslim.. I believe in it 10x more then my 'own' religion. And this is coming from a feminist. I'm sure that breaks some people's ideas of what Islam is about (or atleast what the media is instilling in ignorant western minds)

You are 100% correct,,,I am a Christian truly, and I agree with you..But as in all beliefs the bad out weight the good..
I don't think I'm better then you or anyone for that matter. and I'm sorry that my fellow brothers and sisters treat you so rude..It is not what out God or Jesus would want..

I would also like to state that as a Christian unless directly asked about God I don't go around preaching. I know some are called to do this, but I prefer to Pray.
Jesus didn't bully anyone into accepting him..

You see, people keep saying "Christians" do this and "Christians" do that. When in fact "Christians" don't do that.

People who call themselves Christians may do those things but "Christians" DO NOT.

1."Christians" do not believe we are better than anyone. Only Forgiven.

2. "Christians" do not believe non-Christians should leave this site...The longer you stay the better the chance for the Holy Spirit to work on you. (you may think you are working on us, but we do know the truth).

3. "Christians" never tell someone they are going to burn in Hell..."Christians" teach about it in class or if asked. (and if you are not a christian, we do not think it will bother you, why should it? you don't believe.)

4."Christians" do not give dirty looks if someone says they are not Christian.

5. PRAYING FOR YOU- I will give you that "Christians" do pray for family, friends, loved ones, un-saved, enemy, those who hate us, our government, and that God's will be done here on earth as it is in Heaven.

6. "Christians" will continue to pray for you (the more upset and hatefull you get the more we will pray for you, casue the more it bothers you, we know the Holy Spirit is working on you.)

7. "Christians" do not judge-LOST IS LOST, don't need a computer to compute that.

And yes, I am gonna pray for you and EVERY non-Christian on here we are praying for you WHY? We don't know you, why do Christians pray for non-Christians?

You see, I am one Christian that believes in destruction (not eternal suffering in fire), so why should I care if you believe or not?

Because there will be a day that Jesus will return to take all of His followers to be with Him forever, and when He does there will be no more hate, color, death, pain or suffering and I for one want to see as many of God's creations face to face as I can,(and I will have an eternity to do so).

God Bless each and everyone of you who read this...

Sometimes I don't think Christians think at all. They only repeat the rote rot delivered by their shouters from the pulpit. Most don't even know their Bibles, but they have memorized scriptures and numbers to use in debates.....though I doubt they know what they are writing many times. One even wrote that His God was above truth and logic.

Christian's God is not better than other...
Christian's God is offering you a salvation through Him. he's good for His followers, however he seems bad to the others.

do you think your parents is better than the others? i dont think so, right? but they are there to be your parents...

it's a matter of extinction not quality, although christian's God gives them who believe in him quality life...
