Who cares what he thinks?! What's important here is that you want to marry your cat!!!! Good grief!

Well first off, if you are serious about the "marrying the cat" thing, you should post the question under the psychology section of Yahoo answers. That is unsettling.
As far as the ring goes... Tell your husband. I lost my engagement ring (took it off to do some cleaning and it accidentally fell down the sink drain) . He actually found it for me.Your husband may have it or may have seen it. Try looking in the places your cat hangs out: Under the bed, under the couch, on top of the cabinets, etc. It may have fallen off of the cat while he was wandering during the night.
good luck and just remember.. It's ok to love you cat. You just can't LOVE your cat.

Wait for a couple of days, it might turn up.
If it doesn't and you've run out of time, my suggestion is not to tell your hubby you were pretending to marry the cat when you lost it. Something along the lines of not knowing when or how you lost it might be good. Then apologize profusely and be upset about it...like the ring is so dear to you, sentimental value and all..cry a little if you can muster it. He he he.
He might melt, forgive you and buy another one.
In the mean time, keep searching baby, try the places your cat usually likes to go to, maybe it's in the kitty litter?
Hope you find it

Definitely tell him. You'll feel better in the long run and it's an important issue that can cause serious problems. I'd just be straight with him and let him know that you are sorry. You certainly seem upset over the situation. Good luck. I wish you the best.

tell him the truth so he can institutionalize you, divorce you and marry a nice woman that he deserves, oh and give the cat to the humane society no telling what all you have done with that cat.

just ask him casually "hun, have you seen my wedding band, I took it off last night and can't remember where I put it down." That way he knows it's missing but you could probably leave the tieing it to the cat part out..

You probably should have looked into the cat marriage ceremony first.
In the eyes of your feline, you guys are hitched!

Any man, who doesn't object to be called a "hubby," will not say a word even if you have sex with your cat.

As other said - tell him. Sometimes others can find the tings you just can't.
besides, if you don't and he later brings it up, then it could start a feeling of distrust between the two of you.

How did the cat take it off? Sneaky little bugger. Don't marry him. Take hubby shopping for a new one.
