I am a 14 year old boy and my procrastination has cause me to have to do a huge project/report overnight. Me being the lazy self I am is scared that I'll fall asleep so I decided to try some coffee and I added some creams and actually found liking it. So does coffee for a boy my age really healthY?

My grandmother started spooning coffee into me at the age of 7 days. I've drank it for over 50 years.

Now quit putzing around on Yahoo and finish that project!

It doesn't sound particularly healthy to me. Of course, I always grew up with the wives tale that coffee stunts your growth, but I'm not so sure if that's true or not. :] My advice, since I'm not a professional, is to let your sister do what she likes. If your parents don't think she needs to be drinking coffee every morning, limit her to a few days a week. On a personal level, I hate coffee and I always grew up drinking it on Sundays at a breakfast place because I wanted to feel grown up with the adults! These days, with Starbucks around every corner, it's hard NOT to drink coffee, and I can only conclude that since half the world's coffee drinking population hasn't dropped dead yet, it must be okay for your 14 year old sister to drink. :] Hope it helps!

Yes coffee at your age is safe within moderation. If you drink it to stay up all night and sleep all day that's good if you work a night job. Otherwise 2 to 5 cups a day during the day is enough.

Safe or not safe You do not need to take Coffee / tea at this soft age whatever you are doing huge load school works. Why depending yourself on Coffee or Tea or anything at this cute age ? Later this coffee will catch you fr whole life. Rather try yourself without any foreign aid to put inside yr body.

Well, excessive coffee isn't healthy for anyone. But I don't think it's any more unhealthy for you than it is for anyone else. Just don't overdo it.

there isnt anything to my knowledge that says it is unhealthy, in fact coffee has caffine in it which is proven to help people focus and be more alert when otherwise they would be tired.
