I have tried both brands. Freshlook works alot better if you are changing your eye color from brown to blue for instance; they look alot more natural. Acuvue is great if you are simply enhancing your natural eye color (if you want your blue eyes to be a more dramatic shade of blue for instance). Acuvue lenses are however more comfortable than Freshlook lenses because they are thiner (not as many color layers as Freshlook). So, if you are looking to completely change your eye color try Freshlook. If you simply want to enhance your natural eye color, Acuvue is best.

RE:
Colored Contacts, Acuvue or Freshlook?
Today I was told I could get contacts, our insurance will pay for most of them but I'm stuck between Acuvue or Freshlook, our Optometrist has both brands but which should I pick? All opinions on both are welcome. I want something bold thats going to make my eyes go "wow" comfort is...

I think you should go with the color that you like. Both are reputable brands. I think the Acuvue brand tends to be a little more comfortable than Freshlook based on the response of my patients. Hope this helps.

Acuvue is way better. They look a ton more natural. And You can't even tell you're wearing them unless you wear them for over 12 hours.

Well, if you have not already, I would recommend asking the optometrist or his/her assistants which one of the two brands most of their patients prefer. Most returning or "regular" patients will share this info with the Dr. Also, having gotten contacts myself in the past but "regular" contacts and not "color enhanced" contacts, I know the optometrist can order you a "trial" pair of one brand or the other of "regular" to wear for a few weeks to see if they are comfortable and if they help you to see. If the "trial" pair works out, great - then you can order more of them. If it doesn't, then perhaps the optometrist can suggest another brand that works for you. I am presuming the optometrist can perform the same service of providing "trial" contacts when it comes to "color enhanced" as well.
Best Wishes!

Freshlook, I think, appear more natural looking. I've used them before. They are very comfortable to wear, as well.
