Many American English slang words don't translate too well into other languages, including Spanish. I know that in New York and Puerto Rican Spanish "geek" has been borrowed untranslated from English as in "El es un jodio star wars geek" --- "He's a f------ Star Wars geek."

it depends on the country but the one that can be understood everywhere is "perdedor", but it means more like loser. In Spanish we also say "nerd" too which is close to "geek".
good luck.
