He came Humble as a Servant a sacrifice the first time, but he will come as King and Lord the second time.

Rev 19:11 ¶ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Rev 19:12 His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Rev 19:13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean

And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

I can hardly wait! For those of us who believe and accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour this is the ultimate salvation.
Revelation 21:8
but the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolators and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfer. This is the second death.
We who believe do not rejoice in this, because Jesus told us to save as many with us as we can. Because if we rejoice in the condemnation of others, we therefore suffer the same fate, and stand in the same judgment in the eyes of God. God sent his son Jesus to us the first time born in a manger under degrading conditions and under humble conditions. The next time it shall be with a sword and justice---including the judgment of us who say we believe in Jesus...even more so. I'm willing to accept his judgment upon my life, than what man could ever do. The reward of this world doesn't even come close or match the reward he has for us...good, bad or blessed.

check your calendar, he's late by about 2000 years.

Matthew 24:34
Mark 1:15
Matthew 10:23

anyone with the intelligence of 5th grader will tell you that these verses meant that Jesus would return in the lifetime of the disciples. Yet he did not. So how do you reconcile this discrepancy? Should not the word of a perfect god be easily understood by all without confusion or interpretation?

If you really believe the bible, then you should read it a bit more, i suggest Matthew 6:5-7

Good luck with the white horse thing.

While I believe in the second coming---and would be thrilled.....

I think that you want the book of Revelation to be something it is not. Time for a good ole fashioned Bible Study.....

Prophecy in biblical terms is not a prediction of the future.
Apocalypse was the most popular form of writing during the time the Book of Revelation was written---it was written as a slam on the Roman Empire....any Roman would have seen the symbolism that we do not.

Imagine 2000 years from now someone telling as story about The Big Apple---and how you went there to the Empire State Building. We all know exactly what we are talking about---they may have no idea unless they went back to look at the times we lived in. Same with Revelation----the city on seven hills---COMMONLY known as Rome......

Get a bible study.

I know that I'll be happy because I'm looking to go before the the trumpet sounds or right at that moment, because if you hear and see what you have just described like many Christians will, there then sadness will be.

The Lord had said many will come and say Lord, Lord let me in and the Lord will say depart from me for I never knew you.

sadly we are talking about fellow Christians

YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING! I WOULD BE ECSTATIC!!!
Of course I might be coming with him since I am almost 65 years old now, and could go to be with Him before He comes.

But if I am around on earth I will be so thrilled and happy and so overjoyed and excited and absolutely blown away and overwhelmed and shouting for joy and gladness and filled with
great peace and a heart pumping furiously with thanksgiving that I cannot express it in human terms.

It would be so awesome - Wow! I am sorry but this is one place where words would fail me. I would fall at His feet and worship with a perfect heart and all my miserable human imperfections would be gone and I could love and serve Him forever without the horrible sin nature present any more.

WHEW!!! What an invigorating thought!!!

Well for a moment I'll be both. Doesn't Revelation also say that the Word is like honey to our tongues but bitter to our bellies?

I'll be happy for me, no more pain, no more disease, hunger, sadness, etc, I'll be going HOME to be with God forever.

But a pinch of bitterness too, because so many have not chosen Him.

Then we'll be in Heaven where God will wipe away all tears, amen!

When Jesus returns I will be excited because first, I am a saved man with a saved family, Second I am counted as one of God's Children. Third I know that Paul said " If you believe in your heart that Jesus was crucified and confess with your mouth that God rose him from the dead. then you shall be saved". and if that is true then I will be very happy.
