Being a Christian doesn't automatically make you smart enough to give smart answers all the time. It only means that we have one true living GOD living in us. It isn't our place to judge whether a person is a Christian or not but how do you know if a person answers a question is a Christian? Maybe they are just someone that wants to put in ridiculous answers. Just because it is a Religion & Spirituality section doesn't mean you have to be a Christian to answer. When I see an answer I don't like, I pass it over and go to the next one.

Yes, it makes me doubt my own beliefs. Not my beliefs about God, but my beliefs about other people. After joining Yahoo Answers, I have a hard time believing that people as a whole are eager to be scholarly. So many answers here are just infectious rants, and that makes me doubt not only others, but myself. Am I that full of hate, that a little diversity makes me spew hate?
Have you ever heard the song "Oh, My God" by Jars of Clay?

Doubt my own beliefs? No, it makes me doubt theirs.
There are many different beliefs and doctrines among Christians. Just because one Christian believes one thing, does not mean that we all do.
For instance, the only people I personally believe will go to hell and stay there forever, are people who know that Jesus is God and would still crucify Him if they could.

No, it does not make me doubt my beliefs. It just means that they are still not mature in the things of Gods. Even Paul mentioned this when he talked about giving "milk" or elementary lessons to the young and "meat" or more involved lessons to the mature. One of the benefits of this site is that you can get some great answers to questions, and hopefully this edifies the brothers and sisters.

not at all. I realize that many Christians simply do not know their faith well. And then there are always the wayward denominations that have taken orthodox Christianity and warped it in some strange way....
Actually, it makes me want to evangelize all the more!

Well, no. But it sure does hurt when you know the truth but you see the wrong answers. It's like 'You call yourself a Christian?' It's sad

I feel sorry for them...some are embarrassing, others foolish, others you want to pray for...nothing any of them say make me doubt what I believe.
