I am hoping that he will be driving for RCR. That is the sentimental favorite for me since his dad won 6 of his 7 championships with RCR and I was a huge fan. However, the #8 is owned by Theresa Earnhardt and that is her decision as to whether Dale Jr will get to keep it-probably for a hefty price he will be able to take it with him. RCR does still own the #3 but time will tell if and when Jr ever decides to drive with that number on the side of his car.

First off, where is Mary D getting her info, Childress is not full, he only has 3 drivers, a full complement of drivers would be 4 per NASCAR rules.
And Jack Daniels is a hard liquor where as Bud is a beer, they don't compete with one another
Second, we can all speculate all we want in the end I think nobody will be shocked no matter what he decides to do, my opinion is he ends up at RCR, maybe in the 3 but more than likely not. Starting his own team would be a bad financial move right now and if he doubts that then he just needs to talk to his long time friend Michael Waltrip and see how bad he is struggling

I was hoping Hendrick but I believe that Rick said there was no room for him since he already has the maximum of 4 teams. My best guess would be RCR. However, I don't think he'll drive the number 3 yet.

Hendrick said he has the four drivers Nascar allows and will not try to fit him on his team. Personally I hope he brings JR Motorsports to Nextel Cup Series. The #3 and driving for Richard Childress was his father legacy and I hope he makes his own legacy.

Still and all, he will more than likely go to RCR or drive for himself...probably not going to have a decision till around August...Relax and enjoy what is going on now...it will all work out

RCR has jack daniels as a sponsor which competes directly with budwieser. They might not like the fact he has a beer sponsor. I think he will end up driving for himself. We know for a fact he will not be at Gibbs or HMS. We know for a fact he will not drive the #3 car (RCR does own the #33 though) he said as much himself he does not want to drive dads number until he has won a championship at least.
I would guess he will race for RCR in that #33 car or race for himself. His fans will not stand for him racing at HMS thats for sure.

It will not be Hendricks, they don't think he has the talent.
But I think this is a bad idea he would bring in a lot of sponsor money into the shop.
