Carbonated water doesn't have any effect. It's the sugar that is in pop that adds to a weight problem. Having one glass or can of regular, not diet, pop, every day for a year, is like drinking the equivilent of 10lbs worth of calories.
My hubby switched to diet pop, no or very low calories, and no sugar and he's lost several pounds.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Yes, the artificial sweeteners make your body think that you are hungry. See the attached link. I'm not really sure about carbonated water and the effects on a diet. Your body is constantly removing carbon dioxide while you breath. Why add something that you are trying to eliminate.

Carbonated water is just plain water with some carbon dioxide added to give it fizz. Water has zero calories. It's just water. Look on the bottle/can to check caloric content of soft drinks.
