To add to everyone else's comments, a friend of mine used Nutrisystem and lost 10 pounds in two weeks. They aren't the greatest tasting meals though, lots of portion control too.

Everything is proper portions. They package everything that you will eat for a month including snacks. You just have to drink your water and exercise. Instead of whole pasta, you get wheat pasta for example. If you want to know what the potion sizes look like go to your local grocery store and buy one of those lean cuisene meals, so that you can judge before you buy. Oh and you get the two weeks after you pay for a months worth of food.
Unless, you are single and live alone this is not a good idea for a family with a budget. It's about $320 a month and you still have to purchase your own fruits and veggies. Unless you have no idea how to cook, can't read a cookbook or know that you are not willing to cook food in a different more healthy manner then it's a good idea.

It is food that controls your blood sugar levels. The main thing about the program is that it controls the portion sizes for you. They provide the meals for you, but they cannot control what you eat or may eat between those meals. You have to be very disciplined if you are going to be on that program. You only consume their food and nothing else. I have heard that some of the food is disgusting. The program is pretty expensive, and like one of the ladies on the commercial said, this is her second time doing Nutrisystem, so you already know that the program does not teach you what to eat, what amount of food to eat, etc. I'm sure it is very expensive, even though you get two weeks of food "free". Nothing is ever free, so watch out for any catches.

Well you know that they will not only charge for the supplements but also for the food, so will cost you a bit.
Also if you have to order two weeks at a time, what is it like. Maybe preseratives? I really prefer fresh food. But if they use soy products, not good as researchers are finding out it is not good. Germany has banned all Soy products. Sure have to watch things now as we do not know what is in them, although they are supposed to be healthy foods, but we are finding out what used to be healthy a few years ago is not so now!
When you want to lose weight just change your food that you eat, drink lots of water a day, and exercise.
Come off all sugar and sugar substitutes (they are chemical) off all Dairy, and all white stuff. Eat lots of vegetables, in homemade soups and stir fries, in olive oil. for Sugar use Stevia (herbal sweetener) use sea salt, If you think you need milk buy Rice Milk, Chicken, turkey, eggs, that are grass fed. Organic beef twice a week, or Bison, Fish from the wild not farmed. Quick Quaker Oats (Kind you cook) for breakfast. All the berries, like rasp, straw, black, cran, blue. loaded with anit-oxidants which is a must for us. Apples, grapes, easy on the bananas. Pears, peaches, all of these furits preferably fresh or frozen, Not canned.Few walnuts, pine nuts,
Ten to fifteen minutes of direct sunlight daily for ViT D and no sodas, easy on the caffeine drinks as they dehydrate you.
Now that is basically how to lose weight and inches and keep it off. I have done so and lost 48 pounds and 4 dress sizes, and never felt better in my life, in the last 2 years.
Now if you don't want to go this way thats fine but if you do I will help you.
Forgive me I kind of went overboard here but am excited and like to share.

It's real food, but it's portion controlled and low in fat. You should check out their websites to find out more about what they have to offer.
