For safety reasons you should never have someone in the camper trailer when you are driving. I also believe that the law also states that there should be no passengers in the trailer when in travel.

It is illegal for a person to occupy a trailer while it is in motion.

if its a bus or campervan yes. if you cant get to it without leaving your normal veichle you cant be in it.
