why don't you lessen your intake of soda drinks and find some other alternative?
aspartame, splenda, and nutrisweet are essentially the same thing--artificial chemicals used to block your tastebuds except for the sweet tastebud so you taste the "sweetness" without the sugar (artificial sweeteners).
maybe buying soda water and adding it to juice will help if you like the fizz in soda drinks :D

If your are giving up aspartame for health benifits then I can tell you splenda is no better for you. The name sucralose sound like a natural sugar such as fructose and glucose but the sugar molecule has been chemically altered (changed chemical make up of sugar) so It's not any better for you. They do have a sweetener called Stevia which comes from a plant and is all natural and actually is also known to reduce blood pressure also. Go to your local health food store and ask if they carry it. It can be added to your own drinks coffee, tea etc.

Most soda has harmful ingredients unfortunately. If they don't have aspartame (highly poisonous to humans) or some other nasty chemical (sorry Splenda fans, it's horrid for you too) them they are made with high fructose corn syrup which is also not good for people to eat.
Try Knudsons fruit spritzers. They come in many flavors and don't junk in them.
OK you say, Why is this junk in my food?
How come the FDA says it's OK to eat poison?
Well, the food conglomerates pay the FDA to say their particular brand of poison is good to eat.
Read your labels. If you don't recognize an ingredient don't eat the food.

Someone mentioned diet 7-up. Sadly Diet 7-up discontinued using Splenda...and covered it up with an ad campaign promoting their "NEW AND IMPROVED" flavor of diet 7-up.
Essentially, they swapped back to aspartame and tried to make more money in the process by saying it was "improved". Horrible stuff. I miss Splenda flavored diet 7-up.

Diet Rite is sweetened with Splenda and comes in a number of flavors.
Aspartame is good to avoid, but be sure to also avoid saccharine. Not a lot of drinks still use it since it tastes so awful, but people looking to avoid aspartame sometimes switch to saccharine-sweetened drinks and think they did themselves a favor. Unfortunately, saccharine is almost as bad for you.
Splenda is wonderful. You can even make Kool-Aid with Splenda and it tastes almost like regular Kool-Aid. I gave some to some houseguests and they had no idea it wasn't sugar-filled Kool-Aid. I like to see somebody try THAT with aspartame or saccharine!

Some of the new vitamin and sports waters use Splenda, which I think is just as evil as aspartame.
Try something like unsweetened juices with soda water. You can add some Agave Syrup that is a nectar with a very light, sweet taste. It has a low glycemic index.

MOST NON DIET SODAS dont have aspartme in them , aspartme is added because its less calories than regular sugar....so just buy the regular sodas...
but if your looking for the healthiest type of soda and BEST tasting ones without ANY CHEMICALS added at all like sodium benzoate ( in almost every soda) and gives me heart arrythmia ... go to the health food store and buy ALL NATURAL soda.. taste just like they used to make coca colas when they first started
a brand name BLUE SKY they have about 10 different flavors .. but the ones added with real sugar and not fructose are the best tasting
but if your looking for diet only yea go with anything with splenda in it.. so far it looksl like the healthiest artificial sweetner out there

Most sodas do not have aspartame. I would suggest starting with Coca-Cola Classic.

I believe all of the diet rite sodas have no aspartame in them, and also no caffene. Sweetened w/ splenda like all the rest, but no guessing, all are sweetened this way.
