Brooklyn is GREAT! I don't know anyone who lives in Brooklyn that doesn't love it. But it certainly depands on your location.

My girlfriend lives in Brooklyn and I live in Jersey so we alternate weekends. Brooklyn is pretty cool. It's huge, if it wasn't for being a part of NYC it would be the third largest city in the United States. Since it is so big it is hard to answer your question unless you give a more specific part of Brooklyn. That being said, Coney Island is awesome and is about to renovated so it will probably rock even harder once it's done.

It really depends on what part of brooklyn you want to live. There are some really nice areas and some really crappy areas. I live in prospect heights...its "up and coming" . I've got friends that live in Park Slope, thats a nice area with lots to do. Also, Bayridge is nice too.
