How about one hour? 5 minutes? And by gay I mean exclusively attracted to the same sex, and have no sexual feeling for the opposite sex. C'mon let's see if you can.
--- I know this R&S, but seems homosexuality is somewhat popular among religious folks.
PS: Do NOT preach, your answer will be ignored.

What an interesting challenge! I love it.
Nobody will do it for two reasons.
#1-- They'll know they can't be attracted to the same sex voluntarily, OR:
#2-- They'll be too afraid they'll like it too much.

I honestly have no idea why people still have this notion that somehow gay people choose who they are or are not attracted to. They never entertain the idea that straight people have these mysterious life experiences that lead them to find the opposite sex attractive - it's only the gays that go through this. How in the world does that fact that Chuck Norris was beat up and then decided to learn martial arts then mean that homosexuality had to be triggered by some incident in one's life? I honestly laughed out loud at this! Sexual orientation, for all people, is biological. Can personal experiences add certain "flavors", so to speak, to this biological reality? Sure! But it is BIOLOGY which is the main determiner in human sexuality. This is not different for gay people than it is for straight people. For everyone, biology is the man determiner of human sexuality. I challenge you to find a scientific basis for your argument. Edit: I should add that having intercourse or a relationship with someone does not change or determine sexual orientation. You can break up with your girlfriend and start banging and dating some dude, and you'll be a STRAIGHT guy in a gay relationship. Just like gay people often, while they are in the closet, date members of the opposite sex. They are still oriented towards members of the same sex, and thus still have a homosexual orientation, despite being in a heterosexual relationship. Meowing won't make you a cat. Being in a gay relationship won't make you gay.

Come out of the closet Tom, you can't stay in the closet forever. (Southpark)
A certain percentage of the human population has always been gay. It does not fluctuate much. No matter what laws are enacted or how restrictive or permissive the culture is the percentage of homosexuals remains constant.
Nobody really knows why it is like this.
Edit: I am straight, so what?

I've been asking this question for 30+ years (I'm and old fart gay) and I have been told that no Christian who believes that being a gay is a choice would sully themselves to prove this. To these people I say, bend over and take one for the team!!!
I guess that not being Christian (I'm a Pagan and a witch) keeps me from understanding how they feel. To this I say, worry about yourselves and quit pushing (as in rape) your beliefs on other people!
I'll quit preaching now.

I think people that think people choose homosexuality are arrogant and foolish. They believe that because someone told them to. If they weren't so weak minded, they would see that it isn't a choice. No heterosexual man would chose to be gay. A heterosexual man isn't attracted to other men. I watched a documentary on porn once. There are straight men that do gay porn(lots of $ apparently). Most of them have to take Viagra to perform. You do not choose your sexuality. It chooses you.

I thought everybody experimented at least once in their lifetime.
Yeah, I could be gay for a day. It wasn't for me, men are too attractive and women are nuts.

Good question, better yet, dare them to find one person who has "chosen" to be gay to not be gay for one day. Should be simple since, according to them, it's a choice all gay people made one day. They could even attach brain wave readers or something that would show ... oh wait, that would dissolve their facts, wouldn't it.
Peace!

It just underscores the insanity of religious worship. The need to have someone or something to blame for your problems.

In all honesty and respect, I don't care how anyone defines it.
I just personally don't agree with it.
And as a Christian? There are much bigger topics we need to concern ourselves with.

I've seen this asked before. No one has EVER agreed to give it a try for a day or even an hour. Probably too afraid to find out that it's impossible.
