Of course. He also "allows" earthquakes, floods, tidal waves, volcanos and other natural disasters to take lives. There are some who believe that He caused the hurricane in New Orleans to wipe out the sinners there. I wonder why He caused the recent tornado in Kansas. They must have been evil people, indeed!

Your question should actually be "Why do we let children die." This is a dark Satanically controlled planet filled with death, disease and suffering. God is in AUTHORITY since Jesus took that authority back from Satan when he died on the cross. In His perfect love for His creation, God has given us total free will which means "hands off" unless we ask for something. He cannot be in control unless we allow Him to be - and through us. It is the responsibility of those who love God and follow Christ to stand in the gap for the ones who suffer - but we refuse to 'step up to the plate' and get engaged, instead choosing to blame everything on others including God. Those who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior have been empowered to take authority over the evil in the world but the majority of them are either too lazy or too stupid to know that. The answer is trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, submit yourself fully to His Lordship and authority and then get engaged through prayer and being available to hear His voice. Little ones perish because we have not asked for them to live or, because we are not in Christ Jesus, God has not heard us ask.

According to Hosea 13:16, God doesn't just allow children to die, he bashes them against rocks. How's that for omnibenevolent?

I just love how somebody said that God has a special plan for the 40,000 children that die EVERY DAY from starvation and malnutrition.

And I love how another person said those same 40,000 children die EVERY DAY because of somebody else's sins.

Christians are the most delusional people on the planet. Which is why it's so easy for them to look the other way when people suffer.

Yes, none of us know the time that we will breath our last breath on this earth. But, we all will. Children are covered by God's grace. They have eternal life with Him.

Well, yes... assuming you mean "allow" as in "sees something that is happening and does nothing to prevent it from not happening." Welcome to the crappy side of life and free will. I lost a niece to a genetic defect before her first birthday. Was it fair? No. Was I angry at God? Maybe a little. Did I hate God for allowing it? Not at all. It's just the way things work.

Scripture is pretty clear on this subject. Is says that "all" are born into sin and in order to be saved, one must "believe (in Christ) and be baptized" in order to receive salvation. It also says that children are sanctified by believing parents until they reach the age of accountability. That means, that children below the age of about twelve will not be denied salvation because their parents' belief in Christ protects them from judgement of sin and spritiual death. People who do not believe in Christ leave their children unprotected. Although this is very difficult for many to hear and accept, it is the truth. The answer is simple, believe in Christ and protect your little children from spiritual death.

There is a verse that shows Jesus' sighing at a deaf mute man.

I think he was sighing because it was never meant to be this way.
The same with children, it was never part of the plan. And God's children can be 95 they are still babies to him.So no God doesn't allow children to die, we invited it when we decided we could be on the same level as God, and failed.
