Sin is a marketing tool. It is used to convince you that you NEED salvation. What is termed as sin, more often than not, it is something that is normal and healthy and nothing to feel guilty about.

Now, thoughts can be bad, evil, or what have you. Dreams are manifestations of whatever is on your mind. People tend to act out their thoughts if they dwell on them. I've THOUGHT about strangling someone before. I didn't do it. And I love that person. My rational mind keeps me from doing something that I know I will regret later. But the irrational mind is always going to wander where it wants to.

For those that think that having a sexy dream, or dream of kicking someone's butt is somehow a sin, I'd like to take a walk in their dreams and see what kind of sick, perverted liasons they take. Don't let someone else's guilt bring you down to their level!

While you have no immediate control of what your mind thinks up while you are sleeping, I believe that you can sin while dreaming if you are pouring filth or unclean images into your mind while you are awake.

PS 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

While we are all human and fleshly, if you are watching a porn star in action and are having dreams about it, yes it is a sin.

RO 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth not good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

No. Sin requires consent.

Biblically, no.

According to James 1:14, each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin.

So, dreaming of the woman next door isn't sin.

Sneeking into her apartment though in the middle of the night and actually doing the dirty is pretty much sin.

I would say yes since we are never perfect or sinless. Our dreams can reflect our subconscious thoughts, which can be sinful.

You aren't agnostic yet, my friend. If you're so worried about religion that you have to consider whether you sin in a dream, you're not agnostic.

But keep questioning, and keep thinking, and keep researching. There's hope yet.

My opinion.

No. You must have complete will and intellect to sin.

When a person is dreaming, the person lacks the will and is subject to the person's subconscious.
