Why do you think your religion is right? The only reason you follow it is because you were born, raised, and indoctrinated into it at a young age. If you were born in India you would be Hindu, Saudi Arabia you would be Muslim. So what makes you so confident your religion is the correct one?

I was born Catholic, in a country called Seychelles in the middle of the Indian Ocean. I was raised as a Catholic and sent to a strict Catholic girls school.

It was only 2 years ago that I met a muslim - I didn't even know what a muslim was, up until then. Initially I had no interest in Islam, being an open minded person I was open to learning about it - but never did it cross my mind that I would convert.

But the more I looked into Islam, the more I found something that found a place in my heart. When I read the Qu'ran, a feeling of peace overcame me, I began to cry. When I was younger, I read the bible so many times but I never felt anything when I read it, let alone crying. But reading the Qu'ran, was like a fire lit up in my heart, and I knew that what I was reading was pure and true.

Last year I reverted to Islam, and I am proud to call myself a muslim. It is very challenging because Islam is a way of life, but knowing that what you are doing is for Allah, is the most rewarding experience.

There are many muslims that I have met, are not born, raised and indoctrined into Islam at a young age, nor were they born in a muslim country. They like me, are reverts, and they answered to the call of Islam.

So, please do not live with the notion that people only follow religion because it was the religion of their parents, because this is not the case for everyone.

No religion is wrong.
No religion is right.

It's a silly little word called "Faith" that is the vehicle that man needs.
Without "Faith" man is blown hither and yon in this realm called the world.
Faith and Wisdom are the two tools that man needs to stay on a straight and narrow path, beginning at birth and ending at death.
As man grows in age he realizes that there must be more to the story of life than that which formal religions have the ability to teach. Wisdom is found in the heart of man, and is there waiting the chance to spring forth. Doubt is the adversary of man.
Doubt keeps man weighted down and doesn't allow man to reach his or her true potential.

What ever color, caste, country or religion a human is born into "Faith" is waiting for the chance to illumine the human race.

The same reason I have chosen a certain spouse, neighborhood to live in, or country, state and city to stay in. It is my personal choice based on what I have discovered in this world. We'll all find out in the end if we're right or wrong.

First of all Ethan, you are making assumptions that are incorrect. I do not believe in the bible because anyone told me to. I have spent ten years studying it...in depth...and have come to believe that it is what it claims to be; given by inspiration of God.

And it doesn't matter where in the world you are born. The bible says that God has chosen us (believers in His son) before the very foundation of the world. He calls people out from every nation, kindred and tribe.

I believe in Jesus because of the things He did. Raising people from the dead (including Himself), walking on water, feeding thousands with just a couple of fish and a loave of bread with everyone satisfied and loads of leftovers, etc. All of these being confirmed. Do you truely think that Jesus would sacrifice Himself if he wasn't telling the truth? His actions and words alike make me believe Jesus is the Savior and Lamb of God.

What I follow is not the faith I was baptized into. I don't know if it's the 'right' religion or not, but it's right for me. And I'm not trying to sell my views to anyone else.

if i'm not mistaken and i don't think i am, jesus is the only "man" whose death marked such an event that it changed the time lines from B.C. TO A.D. AND......the name "jesus" and the overall idea of his existance is more commonly known globally than ANY other "things that make you go mmmmm"
