why do hate a person (like me) already, because they are christian?? i know it doesn't stand for everyone, but those of you who do (and i know you are out there) please tell me why?? there were questions on here like "why do you Christians say you KNOW something is true or not, when you don't" while they keep saying they KNOW everything christian is WRONG!! talk to me and you will know that i don't try to push my faith on anyone and that im a good person to talk to!!!!

Wow first thing I read was a total ASSumption, why would I hate a Christian? I know/knew about 3 that helped me when I was going through tough times (actually still am) I loved them well in a friendly manner. I had all 3 tell me their belief about their god and his love I took at I as their god can be a loving spirit. It's pretty much based on what come out of one's mouth and behavior.
If you know you're not forcing/pushing your faith on people then why get upset so badly?

You're assuming too much.
You won't find anyone out there who hates you just because you're a Christian. Such people are extremely rare because they would be forced to hate nearly everyone (and probably die of high blood pressure at a young age).
You *might* be hated by those who dislike people who blatantly promote the ridiculous subtext of your question, which is that atheists are out there persecuting Christians and feeding them to the lions, despite the Christians basically being in control of everything.
It's basic blaming the victim, though subtly.

As an atheist, I don't hate anyone because they believe in a god or gods, any more than I hate anyone who believes in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. I do, however, hate that some theists try to force others to live by their beliefs.
I wonder if theists sometimes blow things all out of proportion because they want to feel persecuted. If someone disagrees with you that doesn't mean they hate you.

im not an atheist...im an open minded believer... but i think atheists dislike christians because christians believe in something and they hate the fact that in their minds they have come to a conclusion about the unknown... jealousy in a way. I wish i could believe that everything my church says is true. It would make me happy! but im constantly in search of the truth. I wont ever find it though

Being Christian, I sympathize, but you've got to realize you're going to get a lot of passive/agressive or just downright mad answers here. I have encountered atheists like this, and some open to dicussion. I hope you get the answers you're looking for--just look out for those who only want to make a painful point. God's peace.

I don't really hate you, it just annoys me when i see Christians say things like, "Jesus said the enemy(atheists) would attack us", or when they think im choosing to go to hell, or when being a homo is 100% a choice, or when the look down on us for some reason, or just **** like that.
Seriously, we're not attacking you, we don't choose to go to hell in the same manner as we choose to drink a soda, we aren't cruel god-hating prideful whatever the hell you wanna call us, and homos don't choose to be a homo.
Sh1t son, stuff like that annoys me.

There are alot of generalizations thrown about both ways.
You hear alot of ALL, NONE, and TRUTH used in inappropriate and inaccurate ways here. Try not to take it personal.
Guys like Super N don't help with his comments either.

I do not hate you, I do not even know you..
I will reserve my right to choose whether or not I dislike you (I say dislike because I reserve hate for child molesters, rapists, murderers, and the like) for a time after I have met you should that ever happen...

Because you spelled the word atheists wrongly? :P.
Most atheists are fun loving people, but had too many trouble trying to feud off the pesky bugs.
