I would be lying if I said that they didn't get to me by doing that. It hurts.

What hurts more is that they could have this peace that I have and they refuse it.

I hate fighting. There are days when I come here and just have all the energy drained from me just reading all the hateful question titles. Why? Because of:

Romans 14:16 Do not let what you regard as good get a bad name.

But we knew that they would come and taunt and try to put us down by "putting down" our God in Christ, right? We were warned 2,000 years ago!

See:
2nd Peter 3:3-4 First of all, you must understand that in the last days some people will appear whose lives are controlled by their own lusts. They will make fun of you and will ask, "He promised to come, didn't he? Where is he? Our ancestors have already died, but everything is still the same as it was since the creation of the world!"

Jude 1:18 They said to you, "When the last days come, people will appear who will make fun of you, people who follow their own godless desires."

There will be Peace.

Well I am not a fanatic anything, but I am a religious/spiritual person with a strong faith. When I hear people snort at the mention of God or are adamant that he does not exist or blames him for all the wrong things in the world...I'm not going to lie, it kinda bugs me. I don't get mad or anything because everyone is entitled to their ow beliefs and maybe they just don't know different.
I think more than anything, it makes me feel sad. Sad for those who don't believe in God or have faith in Him which in turn, causes them to not have much hope for the future.
Then, I also feel sad for God because after all he has done and continues to do, I wonder if it hurts Him to see his children dissing him and thinking bad things...or just not believing in him and all that He does.
I try to politely explain my stance on things when people put God down.

It hurts. I mean, even if those who don't believe want to attack someone, they should just attack us...we are prepared for it. God says that we will be pesecuted for His names sake. I guess He is prepared or it, as well...Gen 5:5 says He grieved when He had to put us in the flesh...He knew the devil would tell us lies and some of us would believe those lies. It's only the devil talking through them, they don't know any better so we need to pray for them sincerely and often....remember, the angels rejoice every time a sinner is brought to repentance and we earn our stripes. But do not judge and if they wont listen, dont push. God gave us free will. But it does hurt and it hurts because we know they are lost, they dont know any better. If they knew the love of God, they wouldn't be angry and bitter. I also dont approve of some Christians who put them down, either. Thats no better. God bless everyone.

I don't like it. I think with all the troubles in the world there are better things to do then speak badly about God. However, maybe some of them are hurting and need to vent their frustration. Sometimes we blame God for our pain.

Which one?

I'm willing to bet that you would have no problem putting any of mine down. As you use the word God as a singular, I'm willing to bet that you are Christian, and couldn't give a whit about what anyone else believes.

If you are that concerned about people showing disrespect for the god you believe in, are you willing to show respect for others? If not, why should you expect anything that you are unwilling to offer other beliefs?

It bothers me a lot, but I know it is out of ignorance that they do it. If they truly knew Him they wouldn't do it. They have to stand before God and give an account of what they do. Just like we do. I just pray that they find the truth before it is too late. No one gets a second chance after they die.

Most Christians see God as Father, Son, & Holy Ghost. God is our Heavenly Father. Therefore, we take it as blasphemy when someone puts Him down. If you loved your earthly father, and felt bad when he got hurt, or sick, how do you think our Heavenly Father, who sent His Son, so that we might have life eternal feels about us. He created us to love Him. We do not want anyone blaspheming our Heavenly Father...so yes we feel extremely bad.

As a Christian I find it very offensive. I see many more non-believers putting down God and Christians than I see Christians put down anyone else. Take homosexuals for example: Not every Christian puts down homosexuals; the act of homosexuality, yes... but not the person who is gay. Not every Christian is a radical fanatic that will blow up an abortion clinic. But it does seem like every Atheist I've ever seen is completely rude and cruel to someone who believes in God and Christ.

Well see if they don't believe in god they I think I would understand more, but if they do believe in god then they know what they are doing and they know that it's wrong. Only god will say what will happen to whom ever makes fun of him.

It is very easy for some people to do this...that is what they do best....but their
day is coming, and they are they ones who will have to answer for what they have done.
They are not the ones who should judge...only God has that right...
