They are both pretty easy to get where I live.

Unfortunately, it's actually harder. You are required to be straigt. You don't have to be tested for STD's to get a driver's license. You can only be married once, where you are allowed to have a valid license for multiple types of vehicles in multiple countries.
Still, a driver's license does require knowledge of the laws and a test, along with vision requirements. You do need to renew the driver's license as well.
I suppose they are about equal.

No! marriage should be of the heart and a right. Driver license is a privilege. Driver license should be harder because it endanger the lives of so many people.

Getting a marriage license should be harder and more (much more!) expensive than getting a divorce. Maybe then people would think more before getting married and stop considering marriage a 'temporary condition' that is easily remedied at the slightest hint of a problem.

In my book it is already harder to get a marriage license than a driver's license........how about parenting licenses for all the idiots out there getting knocked up too...........I thought this was a free country.

"Fill out these forms and PROVE that you love this person and your marriage isn't going to fail!"
yeah. That'd be real hard. In fact, some might say immpossible.

When you marry, you involve yourself, your spouse, children and your respective families. When you drive...you take the lives of everyone on the road, and their families into your hands. There isn't any 'marriage lesson' that will prepare you for marriage, so ....how could you possibly test?
