I want to be a Pharmacist. But i can't afford pay my tuition in private pharmacy school (Long Island University).
I guess FAFSA and other Grants can't pay fully for the private school and i don't know what to do.
Right now i am taking the Brooklyn College placement test for Fall2007 then i want to transfer to LIU.
Please help me if anyone know anything about it?
Thank you!!!
Truly yours JONONA.

FAFSA isn't a grant; it is the form you fill out to make you eligible for financial aid of any sort. Most graduate programs offer very little financial aid. You will undoubtedly need to take some loans out, but you might also look into things like graduate assistantships, which generally require that you work 20 hours/week and give you a substantial break on tuition. You might also ask if there are scholarships of any sort available for students like you there.

You get loans, a lot of them.
For prepharm, going to a community college puts you at a disadvantage. The only way to get above the disadvantage is to get a bachelors.
Most pharmacy schools are very competitive. Even the least competitive are still 1 in 4-5. The most competitive accept 1 in 10.

I am sorry to inform you but you will end up needing loans. Even with grants, scholarships, and a graduate assistantship you will still not have enough to cover everything, but you may come class. Just keep your head above the water and everything will be fine, most people who go to colelge these days are in come level of debt because of it. Look at me I have a B.S. and am in 60K in debt.

No one cares about program rank. Pick the cheaper school.

Look for scholarships and you're probably going to have to find a job.
