RICHMOND, Va.- Christmas was saved for a single mother and her son when officers from the Louisa Sheriff’s Department stepped in to play Santa.

Robin Robinson Fetrow saved all year for her son, Brandon’s holiday gifts, only to find them all stolen from beneath their tree last week.

With the list of items stolen, officers investigating the crime contacted the department chaplain, who worked with the community church to raise funds to replace the stolen gifts. Members of the department also pitched in, leaving Brandon with even more gifts than before.

"I’m overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity of the people in this county,” Fetrow said. “My son is going to have a great Christmas."

I will try and find the article again so I can copy the link correctly. Maybe Snop Dawg can help with cutting and pasting correctly.

Instead of milk and cookies for Santa, did the kid leave out coffee and donuts?

(I'm real sorry guys but I've gotten so used to seeing donut jokes as answers here that it just doesn't seem right without one)

Well they really have balls, I can not imagine that these COPS would stoop so low as to help out some single woman and her son.

Next thing you know they will be helping people change
their tires on the side of the road.

What's this world coming to? How can people sleep at night knowing these guys are running around on the streets. Something must be done! Someone call the ACLU!

Atrocity is not what I would call this. I would call this a noble act by caring officers.
