I noticed a little bit of pain in one of my lower eyelids today. Pain occurs when I close my eye. The eyelid( towards the outside corner) is aslo swollen and a bit red. seems to be getting worse as the day goes on. I now notice this pain or discomfort when I blink. Eye is not red and no tearing has occurd. I can't think of any injuries etc. that my have promoted this. Any ideas. Thanks!

i get that all the time. it could be the start of pink eye but sometimes it goes away in like 3 days. make an appointment with your eye doctor just in case it causes a major infection. good luck! and also to help the swelling go down, put cold ice on it or eye drops.

You may be getting a stye.
1] Wash the lower eyelid gently with baby shampoo. Dry with paper towel, and toss it [ styes can be very contagious ].
2] Use a paper towel for warm wet soaks 3 times a day, and wash it twice a day. It should heal a lot in 2 days.
3] If it gets worse instead of better, or spreads, call the doctor.

It could be dryness from allergies. I get it too. Rinse it out and then don't toch it or rub it. It will go away by tomorrow (it should) ;-)
