find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I have lost just about that (actually, about 77 lbs, according to this morning's scales). I did it by reducing my caloric intake. First, I did my homework, and found out how many calories a day I needed to maintain my then-current weight. I worked out a vague meal plan, the whole thing based on number of calories. Within the first month, just counting calories, the scales reflected a loss of 14 lbs. End of second month, a total of almost 30. By the 4.5 month point, I had lost a total of 63 lbs. At that point, i felt basically I had achieved my goal, and was done.
It's been a year and a half now since I started, and it's all good. I have lost 14 lbs in the last 12 months. My weight is drifting downward slightly, rather than up, because I am still doing very tight or careful calorie counting.
The key to this kind of weight loss is self-denial. You have to find a way to be comfortable with discomfort -- hunger -- for a while. Understand, I never threw up or indulged in any anorexic behavior. And I did it for health reasons, not cosmetic reasons. There are plenty of health reasons to lose: high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems and stroke.
Good luck. Remember, hardcore willpower and self-denial. --And nothing too goofy, like throwing up or surviving for a day on two soda crackers and crystal light. Eat real food, just less of it. And eat what you like. Get the tastes that you crave. Just consume less.
This site helped me: http://www.annecollins.com/calories/calorie-needs-women.htm It's a commercial site, I guess, but you don't have to sign up or become a member of anything to read the information pages, and I never did. They don't sell you anything. The info is free. There are caloric needs charts and bmi calculators, things like that which helped me to stay motivated and keep my goal in plain sight.
Best of luck to you. Stay strong, stay healthy, and I am sure you will achieve what you set out to.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

You need to start slow. 80 pounds takes time, and consistency.
Start by eating veggies, grilled fish, and grilled chicken. Control your portions. Start walking one mile a day. Once your legs get a bit of strength in them, start running 30 seconds, and walking 90 seconds. Work your way up. Build your endurance. Remember, 80 pounds of extra weight did not get put on overnight, so it isn't going to come off overnight. Give yourself 12 months, and if you really keep at it. You will see a difference.
Try a stationary bike as well. It is lower impact.

very strict Atkins. Your body goes into a state called Ketosis which is caused by little to none carbs. I recommend BodyBuilding.com's forums for good guide. They have a whole Keto section.
at 15 years old I was 5'10 230 and I am now 170 and about 6ft. In the beginning of a very strict atkins diet the weight will just melt off.
Don't be afraid of the foods too. Its the best diet. Basicly meats and high protein/low carb foods. When the body enters
ketosis it starts eating body fat for fuel resulting in mad weight lose.
ATKINS/KETO ALL THE WAY!!

First off, thats great that you want to lose weight and your asking questions on how to. It's always best to start off getting opinions to try and find something that you like. Afterall if you start a routine that you don't enjoy, then you're not going to stay with it.
What I have been doing the past four months has been Tae Bo. It is a exercise routine based on high energy punching and kicking. It is fun it's something I enjoy. If it sounds like something you'd be interested in there are video's you can but from Billy Blank who is a great instructor. I'm sure if you just want to get an idea of what it is you can look through youtube as well. This was an exercise that I enjoyed but like I said it might not be for everyone.
Also, because your just getting into the whole weight loss thing, it would be important for you to work on your cardio fitness first. This is because without a good cardio system, you cannot fully sustain the lengthy workout thats going to burn calories.
To really improve your cardio start off by walking. In your spare time do a couple laps around the neighborhood. Once your legs are getting used to the activity, start a jog, or walk around doing bicep curls. This will not only keep your legs moving but work on your arms as well..you'll be building muscle while burning calories. Believe it or not walking is a great way to burn calories as well, 1 hour of walking burns 240 calories whcih is great compared to 1 hour of running which uses much more energy and is harder to sustain which burns oly 270 calories.
You also want to look into doing some stretches. Stretching in the morning will give your body some flexability which is key to not hurting your self during exercise. Push Ups are also a great way to work out, they burn calories and not only do they build arm muscle but your stomach and chest muscles as well. situps are also an excellent way to work out the abs.
Lastly, have fun and listen to music. What I mean is, if your home by yourself and you don't mind going crazy then turn up some of your favorite music and just jump around and do whatever feels right at that moment.
For me personally I listen to a song by David Crowder called "Foreverandever etc." It's got a great beat and I just jump around and do crazy things like run around, play the air guitar and drums...it sounds crazy but while your doing this your working your body at such a high energy level that your burning lots of calories while having lots of fun.
Good luck with everything!
P.S. - It's also important to note that you cannot look at your stomach in determining if your losing weight. Often when you start working out, the fat that you burn first is the fat thats located on your legs and tighs. Don't get discouraged, I didn't and I've lost about 20 pounds in 4 months. It doesn't sound like much but you have to get started somewhere. Peace!

You should cut out sodas, and eat before 7:00 pm. Also run a half hour a day. If that doesn't work ask your doctor on way to help lose weight.

Only one proven way....reduce your caloric intake and increase your caloric expenditure. OK, in plain English...eat less and exercise more.
Also, talk with your doctor. There are medications that can suppress your appetite and can be used for up to 3 months safely.
