You've paid your tithes, watched TBN, prayed hard and long, and the Rapture takes you.
BUT
One or two or more of you must have very, very young children, not yet conscious of their place in the world and a long way from being persuaded that their lives here are just a rehearsal for the real thing. They cannot possibly have received Jesus into their hearts enough to be raptured.
What happens? Are your kids left behind while you take off into the clouds, or are they going along with you? If your pre-conscious baby does, why not those of atheists? Does God decide which babies go and how do you know that? Or is there some get-out that means that it doesn't matter that you're raptured while the baby is still at your breast, it will meet Lord Jesus in due course anyway?
Hope this covers every option open to you.

This is a good question that I have thought about before as well. I have no answer for you, because I'm not God. I could only offer my opinion about what MIGHT happen when Jesus returns, and that wouldn't do you much good. I don't think there will be a secret rapture before the tribulation, though.

I`m a Christian and I do not know if I believe in the Rapture.
Revelation can be interpreted in so many different ways.
"We will meet up with the Lord in the clouds in the twinkling of an eye" (paraphrased from 1 Thessalonians)
Could be misinterpreted as well.
But that's a different story.
ANYWAY,
if there really was to be a rapture, first of all,
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "AGE OF REASON".
That's something that was made up in the Left Behind series books.
Secondly, small children would be raptured.
They do not fully understand the concept of sin and soul.
Their hearts are innocent.
But then again.. ultimately,
God is the only judge.
Those were just my two cents. =]

Rapture: If the chosen ones were gone what difference would it make how long it took?
(Matthew 24:21-22) 21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.
(2 Peter 3:5-7) 5 For, according to their wish, this fact escapes their notice, that there were heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and by those [means] the world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.
In the same way as the flood? the globe was still here only the wicked were gone.
(2 Peter 3:13) 13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.
A cleansed earth.

In the Bible, God talks about an age of accountability. He points out through the writers that children, until they reach an age to make a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, are covered by the faith of their parents.
My 3 and 4 year-olds would not be left behind or condemned because they have not reached the point of awareness where they can make that decision, yet. However, my 9 year old made his decision to receive Christ as his Lord and Savior at that same age. It is different with each person/child.

Well, first of all, I don't watch TBN. Secondly, I do have very small children. Should Jesus return, all babies and small children will rise into heaven with the believers, even the children of athiests. I already have two children in heaven, the ones that I miscarried. Until a child reaches the age of accountability, they have a free pass. I really don't know what that age is. I personally believe it may be different for each individual.

According to the people I know who believe in the rapture, the children and those who are not capable of understanding (mental/physical challenges that preclude it) are raptured along with "The Body of Christ" where they will be given perfect bodies and minds.. after the 1000 year reign of Jesus, Satan is "loosed a little" from his chains and will once again deceive the nations.
During that time, those who didn't understand or have free will, are then given the opportunity to choose Jesus or Satan.

I don't necessarily believe in the rapture. but i do belive God will come back for us. if there is a rapture then God is taking the children to a place with out sin. he will be doing us a great favor by taking them from the sin in the earth.

I don't have all the answers, but here's what I think:
I'm sure you agree that children are born innocent (we were all born innocent). If they have not yet developed a sense of right and wrong, they can't be held accountable for something they didn't know about.
There is a difference between not knowing and blatantly disbelieving.
So if the Rapture happens like it has been described, I believe that children will not be excluded.

Some people walk in darkness and others walk in light even now. So some are taken and some are left behind. You didn't deal with the spiritual rapture theory.

No, kids who are old enough to make the own decisions (around 12 yr old) will not get left behind nor will they go to hell. Every sin they do goes on the parents, cause you take for there sins, just as God has taken ours. So no they'll be part of the Rapture.
