*laugh* You aren't getting out of what you want to because it's a SCAM.
Then again, something inside tells me that you already know this!

Here is some information regarding Scientology's system.
Can't speak for other religions "du jour" as I don't know anything about their economic structures.
It is true that Scientology has various fixed donations for it's services. The amount depends only on the cost to deliver them and support the specific Church or Mission that is doing so.
The reason for this unusual financial set up for a Church is that Scientology is a new religion, only 53 years old. It does not have hundreds of years of accumulated wealth and property like other religions. It must operate and establish itself in the world according to the economics of today's society.
It selected the donation system it has as it's primary method of funding itself because it is the most equitable (fair) method.
Those who want the training and individual spiritual councelling should be the ones who contribute most to maintain the facilities that provide it.
Actually it is the individual spiritual councelling that is the more expensive to provide since it involves many highly trained professional staff, some of whom are trained at church expense for sometimes as long as 2 or 3 years, to be able to properly deliver it.
Doing the less expensive training courses includes spiritual councelling at no additional cost to the individual and is encouraged as the best route. But it is really up to the individual in terms of time and circumstances.
The Church provides very inexpensive Seminars and Basic Courses as well as free services, for individuals who want some help, or self improvement knowledge,
Many Churches also provide a free clinic .
Also most basic books are available from local public libraries. These books contain self help information and procedures you can use..... no charge.
So I doubt that Scientology has failed you due to any money problems you might have.
It doesn't work if you don't learn about. And it doesn't work if you don't actually use and apply it in life. Wouldn't matter how much money you had to spend.
Anyway you are ultimately responsible for your own condition. Noone else can really fail you but you.
But you probably already know this and are just being cheeky. (As am I)

Scientology is not a religion, but a money-making scam and cult. Sorry, but in Christianity you don't pay to get help. They give it freely. Scientology was created by Hubbard to make a lot of money quick. And guess what, it worked! It is not too late to leave and cut your loses, even if they stalk you or harm you (which they will do, by the way). You are fair game to them if you leave their little clique. But there is always suing them if they give you guff. Get out while you still can.

In the late 1940s, pulp writer L. Ron Hubbard declared:
"Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion"
Reader's Digest reprint, May 1980, p.1
Hubbard later created the Church of Scientology...

It's not because you haven't paid them enough. (Though of course they'll tell you everything's all your fault.) It's because Scientology is the biggest scam in U.S. history. Why on Earth anyone would not be able to figure out that this religion (whose own founder once publicly said that the quickest way to become rich would be to start you own religion) is a scam is beyond me. And why on Earth people don't question the fact that Scientology won't even tell it's own FOLLOWERS what it's beliefs are (until you've spent at least $100,000) just blows my mind. How can you join a religion when you don't even know what it's BELIEFS are?!?!?!

Scientology is for able beings. If it is not for you that's OK.
If your finding the going difficult just watch a DVD or come to a Sunday service. There are booklets too, like Assist for Illness & Injury or Answer to Drugs. They give some simple yet powerful processes you can run on yourself. They are not free but if you cannot afford $5 you could read them at the church.

Pay-to-play has always been a big feature of the major religions.
You see, they use the money to stay in power and recruit fresh blood. So you don't have to start paying until you say you believe. Then, you have to pay back all they spent on acquiring you, and pay forward to acquire new people and support the hierarchy.
Didn't you know that?

most religeous organisations are like that.. even the catholic church because it says in the bible you should gine a tenth of you yearly earnings to the church. i dont agree with buying 'salvation' religion should extend beyond the pocket. if you believe in scientology ( which requires 20% of your income!!!) or whatever you should not have to pay ur way in to gods hands or into those who are suppost to represent him, being a good person that is true to themselves or their beliefs should be enough in any gods eyes.

If you pay more, you will learn about Xenu.
If Scientology isn't working for you, you should consider giving it up. Sorry.

I think that's part of the reason they resort to using Ice Cream trucks (from another posted question here) to entice our children to come to church. Too many people are on to their scam and are (wisely) leaving religion behind....
