Alcohol detoxing means the required time taken to rid the body of all alcohol.

The time varies by the amount of alcohol that is in a person when they detox.

Generally, it takes up to 72 hours for the body to completely process and eliminate all traces of alcohol.

If the person is a medium to heavy drinker, that person should seek professional help.

Detoxing from heavy usage is dangerous without proper medical care because the nervous system is effected by alcohol and seizures or death can occur if not properly treated.
