There are actually 4 different powertrains available for the '05 Mustang (2 'stick' or manual trans, & 2 automatic trans):
4.0L SOHC V-6
5-speed Manual
(HP=210 @ 5300 Tq= 240 @ 3500 )
4.0L SOHC V-6
5-speed Automatic
(HP=210 @ 5300 Tq=240 @ 3500 )
4.6L 3V SOHC V-8
5-speed Manual
(HP= 300 @ 5750 Tq= 320 @ 4500 )
4.6L 3V SOHC V-8
5-speed Automatic
(HP=300 @ 5750 Tq=320 @ 4500 )
Hope this helps

Ford Mustangs come with either an automatic transmission or manual transmission, no automatic with manual shift gate available. Why buy a sports car with an automatic tranny in the first place.

Depends upon whether the stick is connected to a manual or stick shift transmission. If they say, "stick shift" it's NOT an automatic; if they say, automatic, well...you know!
