No way? You have to look at each era and the competition of that era. Mayweather is Great but the Greatest he is not. Its like people seeing currrent actors, singers thinking they are the greatest at the time..But will people say 20 years from now he is the Greatest? NO way. Ask that question now and You will hear Ali,Marciano,Dempsey, Robinson, Leonard,Hagler,Louis......Mayweather wont make the top 10 by far.

no way is he the best of all time. here is a list of fighter he would lose to at 140-154lbs:
1. Julio Cesar Chavez
2. Ray Leonard
3. Ray Robinson
4. Tommy Hearns
5. Terry Norris
6. Pernell Whitaker
This is just to name a few. Floyd will not finish his career undefeated. Think back to when Shane Mosley was the same age as Mayweather. He was an undefeated fighter and he had a higher KO percentage that does Floyd.

I think a fighter that is a pressure fighter will beat him or a taller southpaw will beat Floyd eventually. About 2yrs ago Floyd trying to arrange a fight with Winky Wright. Wright would have destroyed Floyd. Good for Floyd that it never happened.

Airtight seems to be the only poster with a clue so far on this issue. I admit, he's had some close calls. Who hasn't? Even the great Ricardo "Finito" Lopez has a draw on his resume. The great Carlos Monzon lost, BHop lost, RJJ lost, Ray Leonard lost, Manny Pacquiao has lost, Sugar Ray Robinson lost A LOT! Most fighters eventually lose. Mayweather has yet to lose and he's been active for over ten years. Thats no accident. He is a master boxer and whether you like him or not he is brilliant inside the ring. The DLH fight and Castillo fights werent as close as the press wants you to think they were. Floyd could do somethings differently but dont pretend you werent impressed when he thrashed Arturo Gatti or when he stopped Sharmba Mitchell with one punch or when he knocked down Diego Corrales (RIP) 6-7 times before stopping him. He is the best right now and if he doesnt lose in the next two three years he should go down as quite possibly the best ever. Rocky Marciano was a joke. 5'10, 189? He wouldnt have lasted a round against Mike Tyson in 1987 or Lennox Lewis in 2000.

Is a good kid. Future fights will determine is greatness. Right now the coin is still on the air as the all-time best. Dismissing his boxing skills all together would be selfish. I really like to see Margarito vs Floyd Jr. some day. I will pay to see that fight. Floyd take note. You and Oscar did a great job on selling the fight. Well do the same with Margarito. Oscar as the reputation of taking risky fights all on the name of boxing, just ask Mosley and Hopkins. Floyd quit dodging competition and lets get it on. Fighters waiting to fight you are: Winky, Mosley, Cory, Margarito, Williams!!, Tito (coming back) etc, etc, etc. If you win all these previously mention fighters, by far you would be close to some of the all-time greatness.

When his career is over, he will not be called the best all time. I think his career is very much similar to Roy Jones. They start off winning all of their fights. Before Tarver knocked him out, people were calling him the greatest. But now they say hes not even in the top ten. I think Mayweather time is coming. He wll find a fighter who he cannot beat and he will get KO'd. Roy Jones messed up when he start hanging with rappers. Floyd Mayweather just started his record label and his mind wont be on boxing for long. Roy Jones is my favorite fighter of all time and i look up to him. His time is coming for him to get KO'd in the next couple of years if he doesnt retire.

Is this a joke? Who the hell have you been talking to? When people call him the best, they mean he is the best currently, not of all time. He is top 40 all time, arguably even top 30, but not at all top 10-20 and definitely can't even make a case for him being #1. You could make an argument that he was the best 130 lber ever when he fought at that weight, but that's the closest thing he comes to being the best ever at.

Heck no!!!!!!!! I know a few things about boxing and I know that Mayweather isnt the best now let alone all time! Let him fight Hatton, Wright, Mosely, Calzagne. If he beats them all then talk about possible top 20 all time. Thats if he can stop acting like a tough thug outside the ring and a scared sissyboy inside the ring.

He is to me one of the best of all time! GET THIS STRAIGHT, I have never seen a fighter ever with skill that mayweather posses. Hagler, Hearns, Lenord, Aguirre, none of these boxers fit the catorgorie that mayweather fit in. Mayweather is the best of this generation. I personaly fill if Mayweather was born in lenord and herns generation he would still have been one of the best. I feel Mayweather in that generation would have got much more credit for what he has accomplished than now. But honestly Mayweather need to take out the top contenders in the welterweight division then retire. and maybe then these Mayweather Haters will give him his credit. THANKYOU

floyd is very talented but he is no hagler sugar ray or thomas hearns. he has never truly been in a brawl or a fight that has pushed him. he should have lost that fight to castillo and that was a gift from the boxing gods he got that nod. he needs to fight someone at thier prime in the same caliber as himself then and then only can we really look at him being in the top 20 til then he can keep making the fights hyped up by what he is saying out of the ring instead of his slow unspecial fights in the ring. good question though.

He is nowhere close to being the best of all time...

José Luis Castillo and Oscar de la Hoya should have won there fights against Mayweather but were ruled unfairly.
Mayweather does box well but is not exciting nor does he have power...
I mean come on Zab Judah also could have beat him. Thats best of all time.
