God is not "happy" to destroy anyone who defies Him! Eze 33:11 Say unto them, [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

I do not pretend to know why God does not save some from cancer, and why others, even the wicked! are sometimes spared of these things.

The best thing to do is to bring the hurt and pain before God and hash it out with Him as you would in any other relationship.

God's wisdom out does anyone here on earth to explain why God does things is like this...If God was real would he have more in common with you or a bear? OF course it would be you.

Now say you are a hunter and you go into the wilderness and see a bear trapped in a bear claw. All that bear knows is that it is pain. You feel remorse for the bear but to get the trap off the bear you have to pull the bear's foot further down into the trap to release it. The bear only understands that it is pain and cant reason what has to be done.

I am not saying this is the same thing as our pain on earth but God knows so much more than us and if we can find an example of something that would make sense on earth, then it probably could even be more in depth if there is a God.

Good question though!

I have to tell you that I actually read this question after trying to find out an answer to a completely different question and it hurt me....I often wonder if life is too harsh and can build walls that will not allow them to continue on a positive spiritual path and why it is that each of us may have to endure pain to such varying degrees...I personally am doing a lot of soul searching right now and am questioning these variances myself....I know this is no answer, but I definitely empathize with your question, even though nothing has ever struck me as hard as losing a son. I do still believe in God, and while my faith is shook by these types of issues, I will absolutely pray for you, that we may both have some light shed toward a better understanding of how this could be. It seems that atheists tend to remind themselves and others of the thousands, or millions who suffer from some disease, yet they seem to ignore the billions who are living a healthy life. Suffering was brought into this world by humans. Now, I don't know if you have a son who has cancer or if you were just giving an example. He probably did absolutely nothing bad to "deserve" what he has. In God's eyes, everyone is without excuse if they deny Him, or have sinned and expect to receive grace on Judgment Day. You need to trust that God will work to heal them. That means continually praying. Read Job. It's a lengthy book, but it really shows how someone who seemed to not deserve the horrible things that fell upon him kept faith in God. He was rewarded in the end.

I truly hope that you will keep your hope that God will take these people out of their suffering. Now, about those who defy God-we are born that way. If you've ever stolen, you're a thief. If you've ever lied, you're a liar. When they die, if they haven't repented of their sins, God would open Heaven up to liars and thieves. God won't let that happen. God isn't "happy" to hurt anyone-he is a just God. Suffering is due to our defiance. Again, it may not be specifically your son's defiance or wrongdoing, but this suffering continues because of sin being brought into the world.

Nobody, however, is without capacity to sin. You and your son have the ability to sin. You must choose to repent of past sins and trust in God, that he will deliver you from sin and suffering. We all pray that God will heal those who are suffering. You know, thousands suffer in small African countries. I suppose we could sit and pray that God delivers them out of their suffering. Or we could donate to charities that will forward that money to those causes, and then pray that God will use that money for the greater good. Or we could even donate our time and money by traveling there to help these people, and then pray that God will use our time and money to help those people. Let's be honest, there are some things that are out of our control. There are some things that aren't. No matter what, God is in control, though.

God allows suffering to happen. He also allows progression. Have you noticed how advanced our technology and medical fields have become? God allows those fields to advance, so it's obvious that God is helping many to be free from disease. And finally, you can't possibly look at the big picture. Only God knows 100% of everything that is occurring in the world. Only he can say what is just. If I contracted a fatal cancer tomorrow by some random chance, I would have to trust that God would use the rest of my life to its fullest potential, and to fulfill his will. It breaks me to think that that could possibly happen. It's not wishful thinking, and so I must pray now and trust that tomorrow will look better.

This is a big question. God takes no pleasure in hurting because there is no hurt in love and God is love and is infinite. Sin, sickness, disease, and death were not made by God and so do not exist in the mind of the Lord. To God, all is perfect, spiritual, and eternal. The human beliefs are based on suppositions that do not exist, yet are made "real" by our belief in them. So, as we believe evil to be real and substance to be matter, then we become subject to these errors, and at length say God takes pleasure in our suffering and He will not heal our diseases, and so we (human experience) must suffer the consequence of such beliefs.
Our human beliefs can never change the undying truth or kill man, for man is God's image and not the mortal lie.

God answers all prayers though sometimes it is hard to understand why bad things must happen. Sometimes things do happen that we can not understand and we must trust God.

Try: test, compare the Gods(Spirits):
- God our Saviour: Grace is constructive
- God our Destroyer: Law is destructive
God our Saviour will have all men saved and aware.

- Grace is merciful
- Law worketh wrath
Ye are not under the law, but under grace

- Friend: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee
- Enmity: I will forsake you, the city, your fathers
Christ is our peace who abolished the law(enmity)

- Our Father, in "heaven": "higher than the heavens"
- Their Father, on "high": in plural divided "heavens"
Our Father, which art, in heaven, hallowed be thy name

Prayer: Our Father, deliver us from "evil": Matthew 6:13
Answer: We are delivered from the "law": Romans 7:6

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
