the ultimate schism!
what is right - religion or science???
Here is something to ponder:
High ranking officials on both sides have gotten to a point in their lives and research that they convert over.
for instance - you get to a point in science where you just cant explain things. Divine intervention?
or you have known the cannon all your life. Yet after much study of historically correct events to see how your faith was created you realize that your beliefs are at best mythology and see why science is so crucial.
The ultimate Schism as they say.
Good question

Already is.
As science discovers more, Christianity, though it still cherishes the Bible, becomes more aware of the things that are not true, though it was reasonable to believe those things at that time in history. It grows.
Islam is in the process of becoming aware of the limits it has been functioning under is undergoing a revolution similar to what Christianity already has done.
Organized religion is constantly evolving due to science.
It's freedom of religion wonderful?
But remember, science is just a tool, always open to question, reexamination, and the overturning of it's discoveries without upset. Facts get proven wrong, new facts are discovered.

No. There is no such thing as a true religion, and even if there were, science would not apply: religion requires belief in supernatural phenomena, while science explicitly disallows such.

Science is only in the business of finding out "how"...
Religion is purely the realm of "why"...
The two have little to do with each other

If you really think about it, science is the study of the wonders of G-d in the natural world.

Religious people seem to be able to insinuate their gods and spirits into just about anything, science is not immune.
