yes and no. yes because the bible as well as other religious books all have certain story of origin that tells how humans came to be on this earth. i can't speak to any other religions but in christianity, the story of origins makes it clear that humans are the center of the universe and god made everything just for them. it would make god look like a big fat liar if there were to be life elsewhere in the universe. then again religious sects continue to update themselves whenever scientific theories become prominant or when they become fact. like the pope acknowledging evolution to a certain extent. the truth of the matter is they HAVE to do this in order to stay alive! its a rather sad state to be in but my hopes are that one day there will indeed be a way to disprove religion with cold, hard fact.

Which religion? There are a number of religions throughout the world that subscribe to the concept of life on other planets within the universe.

I believe in only 1 eternal God, without a beginning and an end. If there is life on another planet, which I doubt, then it too will have the same God we people of the book follow. Because if God chose to put life on earth, He would put life on any other planet too. God doesn't change, nor does His message

If religion could not stretch far enough to encompass it as part of "god's plan", then religion will go the other way and call the aliens demons.

It'll take more than mere physical evidence to disprove religion.

Which Religon?

I believe the answer is no.

My answer stems from this.

God is. That is as far as the human language goes before the language begins to limit God. God is all things, God is both ominipotent and omniscient. Lastly no single image or form can hold God. Therefore we are probably just 1 of many images, and just 1 of many existences.

life has been found, it's the definition of life that's defined by religion or science that swings it either way

when religions are constantly grasping at straws or the air to prove itself, it becomes apparent it's no longer a stand alone Truth and must be supported by it's blind sheep loyal constituents who continue to wish it to be true or hating and harming others is no long justified by thier own creed

No. It would have no effect one way or the other. Nor would anything else, because religion is not provable (nor disprovable). Religion is, however, provably useless: it can make no prediction about any event in the real world.
