What is the 72nd word in the Greek New Testament?
What is the 93rd word in the Origin of Species?
Before getting angry at a question, take a deep breath and relax. We might learn more if we weren't so offended.

First off.... no one knows much of anything. We as a species are only beginning to grasp the nature of our universe and it will take a long, long, time before we can secure a foothold on knowledge.
Second.. What does the Origin of Species have to do with Atheism? Atheism is a belief system. The belief that there is no supreme being/god. Standard creationism was the answer used in the middle ages to explain the existence of everything on this earth. Who's to say that evolution DOES occur but it is not guided in a distant way by something more? (note, my beliefs differ and are irrelevant to this answer)
and the 93rd word in the Origin of Species is 'be'. not counting the table of contents or the editor's introduction. And I sure hope I didn't miscount.
I couldn't tell you what the 72nd word in the Greek New Testament is however. Perhaps another enlightened Yahoovian will answer that one...

Indeed. There are a lot of resentful questions being posted today and I don't really know why. I guess we're all in that mood now. Although, I may not know what the 93rd word of the Origin of species is, but I do think I know a little.

I'm just saying, I think the whole "CHRISTIANS-YOU don't know very much, ATHEISTS-Neither do YOU?" was a little antogonistic, but it did get peoples attention, I'll give you that.

Well I just got through posting one of my own quotes on another question. It may apply here also.
"Everyman is sincere in his own misunderstanding."
Sorry, I gave my Greek New Testament away to someone who cannot not read or transliterate New Testament Greek. As for the OOS, I only hit every fourth word and, for the life of me, can't remember what word 92 was! Chalk it up to a senior moment.
You see, if I could recall word 92 then.....I might remember 93..........and ..................i think it's time for my nap. Darwin did spend a lot of time with his dog. A Beagle wasn't it/?
Such a nice boy....

One doesn't have to have memorized a book to have strong feelings about a subject. Also, it's possible for somebody to "convert" away from a religion without having read the Origin of Species. It's not always an either/or situation (I knew nothing about evolution when I began having doubts). You make it seem as if it's an either/or situation (atheism and evolution vs. christianity and the bible).

"Any" would be the 93rd word in Origin of Species.
(Of course, I'm including the introduction as part of the text. And my count might be off. Lol)

72nd word of Greek NT is 'de'.
93rd word of Origin of Species is 'Origin'.
EDIT: Of course, it depends heavily on how you count 'words', particularly in the second. Is Darwin's 'M. A.' one word, two, or three? Is 1859 one word or two?

i'm an atheist.
okay. we don't know much.
but our (atheists) theories at least have some solid proof, and books passed on and written and re-written time and time again don't count (i read 'harry potter' books but i'm not trying to ride my broom)
and yes, i don know i'm looking at this from an atheist point of view, but if i looked at it from a christian point of view, i wouldn't be able to make a convincing arguement, now could i?
(i know that was needlessly cruel, i apologize to those offended, ''sorry, religous people!!'' and to all those to stupid to notice that they'd been insulted ''sorry christians!!'')
(actually, sorry to everyone that's reading this, i don't know WHAT got into my cereal today, i'm usually not like this)
EDIT: i totally agree with Kaliko!! she's the only one here that got MY thumbs up!!

In neither case do I know, or care. The specific words do not matter; it is only the overall ideas that count.
