No.
At the root of all religions is the creation of in-group and out-group behavior, making a distinction between those who are a part of a political unit and follows certain dictums.
Several religious traditions carry no moral position at all. Ancient Greeks and Romans kept their morality, philosophy, and logic totally separate from their faith, and the interesting thing is that we rely heavily on those secular morality traditions today.
Christian 'love' is reserved for those who will accept Christ, Jewish 'love' for those who wil follow the 'laws' and Islamic 'love' for those who love the Prophet. There's nothing selfless about any of it.

Actually I'd say "fear of death" is the root of most religions. Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and various New Agey religions all teach that physical death is not the end, counter to all evidence.
Although most religions teach love and some form of the golden rule, they talk out of both sides of their mouths as others here have already pointed out.
Fortunately, morality and kindness to others do not rely on religion or a belief in some kind of invisible supernatural entity. Perhaps if we could eliminate our fear of death and reliance on those invisible beings we could focus more on being kind to others.

Even previous wars that have been touted as non secular wars have been appropriate to the affection of money and a loss of have confidence in God or insurrection in the direction of Him. it variety of feels imparative at this ingredient in time that the church take the assumption of no longer storing up grain in ones barn as a bad theory and exprapolate it into todays international, in oreder that aggression lose that's pay off. If the flexibility of adult men to get carry of lots that the only venture left to purcahse is ability then we can proceed to be in thia perpetual state of conflict. have been very own accumulation constrained to even though could be used to motivate than distribution would be better and the pay offs that reason conflict would be bumped off. I advise a formulation concerning accumulation including a guy could collect one thousand circumstances what the porrest one has. This then delivers insoiration to advance everyones customary of residing. cloth accumulation as issues are at the instant reasons someone's worth to be judged too lots on his ability to compete. better to sell an all and sundry wins cost. In some countrys however instructors do no longer get carry of very lots of money they're granted great status attend important gatherings the place judgements are made etc. so there are better techniques yet our non secular instructors who've the impact to instruct Biblical innovations do no longer instruct them. that's as a results of fact we've not used those doctrines of accountability (Mat 18 and letters to TIM) and picture attractiveness is a valid ability of picking church elders. think of roughly this. who's usually happening. the guy who teaches you a thank you to alter and be better or the guy who tells you what you like to hearken to many times. Democracy has no place in church, we would be at an advantage casting plenty. accountability of elders desires to come returned first then the coaching of real Biblical values, and social substitute will stick to. Jesus have been given indignant on the retailers in the Temple and yet do no longer retailers run our church homes immediately via being on the boards who often dictate to who could desire to be the instructor. definite conflict is approximately love of money and the only way I see to intrude is to initiate with accountability in a loving manor in the church, then getting suited elders, coaching actuality and then utilizing the impact precise to alter society. If we don't initiate practising Biblical principals how lots longer will can we proceed to exist.

No, not at all Orion. Most "Religions" are all about themselves, just as Satan (the father of all religion) is all about himself! Recorded throughout history is the use & abuse of people for "Religion". "Take one for the Gipper" as it were, is so true in Religions. Religion is always building monuments to it's greatness instead of simply serving mankind in humbled silence. Bear in mind, Philosophy is not Reality & if for example U were to study the Catholic church, U would find the "Selling of Indulgences" made them quite wealthy!!! John

Not Satanism. A Satanist's deity is himself.
The Golden Rule is based on empathy. Empathy is the basis for morality. Religion is not the basis for morality.
