Darlin, you don't need feed back here on this to know there is alot of evil on this earth. But it is eye opening isn't it. I know I was rather taken by the fact that there are alot of open so-called disbelieving people out there. But that just encourages and strengthens me even more in my belief. It makes me want to respond to the questions or statements that are in here and try to the very best of my ability and faith to spark a light in the hearts that sound like they have turned away or don't have clue one as to what its about. But I try to do it in such a way that it doesn't turn them off to what I'm trying to get them to see or understand and it could be something very simple. I know in my life I can't stand the holier than though Bible thumpin, preachy kind of people...you had to come at me some other way to open my ears...honest. So I remember that when approaching this. Sometimes alls you need is a little spark to start a flame...yeah know. Don't start out with the blow torch.
Don't give up on your beliefs, keep standing till you can't stand any more and then get back up and fight some more. Just hold onto your beliefs. You many not know who's ears and hearts you might open just keep spreading the truth and don't ever be afraid, your a soldier for God.
Also, be careful when choosing your words when trying to get someone to understand...it can become a very passionate dialogue with some...just be careful with it and don't turn the passion into anger or hatred. You understand?

Christians, why attack atheists? Why attack something you don't believe?
Well perhaps the fact that you personally are a self righteous fool who believes anyone who disagrees with their point of view is a servant of Satan. Far easier to put your opponent's views down to demonic possession than to actually LISTEN and find RATIONAL argument to counteract them isn't it - all the while shoving your own beliefs down our throats. And as for "the more thumbs down the more proof I'm right" - I have never seen such a piece of illogical weak thought. The more people disagree with you, the more weighty that makes your arguement. I never thought I'd see someone who could advocate "I think 2+2=16, nobody else in the entire world thinks that, so the more people who disagree with me means I must be right!"
And you wonder why Christianity has been dying ever since people learnt to take over their own thinking rather than leave it to the clergy.

If you think you know the answer, why ask the question?
What you perceive as an "attack" on the part of atheists is merely the atheists responding to questions from Christians. Christians ask the most questions about atheists and atheism, and are therefore most likely to receive the most responses.
As I mentioned earlier, Eric Hoffer in "The True Believer" states that one of the elements vital to the true believer is a perception of being persecuted. Since the responses to Christian's' questions concerning atheism tend to disagree with the Christians' assumptions, Christians, being true believers, perceive the responses as attacks, thus reinforcing the perception of being persecuted.
I hope that helped you understand the dynamic.

What else would they attack? What else threatens them? Who else wants to hold them accountable for their beliefs and actions? Who else would they lash out at? Who else would they try and debate with? Atheists exist because Christians exist. They need us to justify what they are doing, since they cannot come up with any reasons on their own why they do not believe in God. All they do is attack our beliefs instead of creating their own.
Any time someone is right, there always has to be someone who is wrong. That is of course if we go along with their laws of logic and reason!

You attack atheism as much as atheists attack christanity. The problem with your argument is that truth is subjective. There is no such thing as a universal truth. We each color and paint our version of the truth to match what we have experienced and our own perceptions of life. For you to say that christanity is truth may be true....for you. But that does not make it true for anyone else. Its attitudes like this one that create so much resentment and hostility between separate religions. It's attitudes like this one that have costs the lives of millions of innocents over the centuries because they did not agree with one belief or another. I thought we'd evolved past this as a society. Apparently not.

Bashers and trolls, that's all they are. They're most likely all 15 or under and this is how they get their immature kicks. Just ignore them. You should feel pity for anyone so bored this is how they spend their time.

Because many christians can't co-exist peacefully with those with whom they disagree, and seek to codify their dogma into laws. They want all media to conform to their ideals, and some even wish to deny citizenship to atheists.

It's your version of the truth. It is certainly not everyone's version.
And trust me, no one will complain if you all stop preaching your gospel to us. No one.
