Acts 19:19 refers to "curious arts." This would include clairvoiance, astrology, hypnosis, etc. Also included would be "charmers . . consulter with familiar spirits (medians) . . . wizards (witches) and necromancers. Deuteronomy 18:12 calls such people an abomination to the Lord. Please do not mess with this stuff. It is not a game. Getting involved with it gives the devil a foothold in your life. Also oiuja boards. This is not an option for a Christian. Read your Bible. Will God smite you? I don't know but you are bringing a curse on yourself and your loved ones if you don't get out of it.

I believe it's possible. what the mind is capable of, we still don't know. we're limited to about 10% on average!
believe it exists? I think it's possible, but limited. telepathy? maybe, if the Spirit reveals things then perhaps God allowed souls to be able to communicate on certain mental channels. Clairvoyance? hoax: either the psychics are fake or the devil's manipulating his demon possessed pawns to try and make things happen closely to what the psychic said. Psychics? hoax/real: most are just people who get you to beluieve they predicted something by getting you to reveal stuff to them and using psychology / I believe some can be born with it, lot's of people get déja vus, it can't all be memory impairments; God gives visions to advance His kingdom or help you sometimes, so why not?
getting these gifts through sorcery, "white magic" or the occult is strictly forbidden though. that's using the devil's power; the sin of idolatry. but if you believe they're possible, nothing wrong there. just, for your sake, don't see any psychics, palm readers, witches, etc...

Nothing that you described has anything to do with religion. Religion is a system of beliefs based on a commonly accepted dogma (such as the bible). What you're talking about is more personal ability. The two are not interchangable.

It may be religion but it is not (Christianity).Revelations21:8,22:15. Acts 16:16-18.,26:20,19:18-19. Luke 16:19-31.When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of God? If one does not speak according to Gods word they have no light of dawn.Isaiah 8:19-22.

you know this is interesting.. it all depends.. why not right? when you read Elijah's story it says that the holly spirit picked him up and he outran the horses to the gates of the city after the whole mountain and 500 priests of Baal, in the bible it doesn't really say that we have this power ourselves.. Jesus did, but He is the son of God.. so.. makes me wonder when people say they can levatate.. and it being physics and stuff.. physics is pretty clear on gravity.. without gravity we wouldn't live.. and if it is physics, why is it only secret societies know the answer to anti-gravity?? why then the whole world not levatate...?? What is the reason of all these things i ask you back.. Does it uplift God's name?? does it have a Missionary purpose, like apostles with their knewly aquired ability to speak in tounges had a clear missionary purpose.. so.. you can believe this stuff.. but what reason would you have to do it right? but hey, may be the pope will look at this next year and say.. hey, if we could have come from monkeys, why not go to rome by telepathy..

I am also Catholic and I believe very much in some psychics. God will not smite you ...being catholic doesn't mean you can't believe in that. I believe very much in Sylvia Browne and the others who have proved themselves. But there are those out there who fake it and make it hard sometimes to believe. You can believe being catholic doesn't change that.

Believe whatever you want, but it doesn't make it true. No, there's no such thing as telepathy or clairvoiance or psychics or god. Please, prove me wrong and open up a whole new field of science. This guy will give you a million bucks for a 5 minute demonstration. http://www.randi.org
Sure, those things are basically religion. They rely on a supernatural force and have absolutely no proof. Sounds like a religion to me.

Those kinds of beliefs are caused by the fact that some people are particularly out-of-touch with reality. Since they're not very "tuned in" to what's going on around them, they're able to convince themselves that they have special powers despite being unable to demonstrate those powers.

I think some people are ALOT more perceptive than others. I don't think if you are particularly "tuned in" to people that it's a religion. Just like some people are good at math, some people are good at reading people and situations.
