I use earplugs every night when i go to sleep and i was wondering if it is bad for my ears and affect my hearing later on in life.

I do not think your hearing will be affected at all, but you may be more prone to ear infections. You may want to occasionally give your ears a rest and make sure you are keeping your ears clean.

I not sure of this - I sometimes sleep with ear plugs, but I never thought about possible hearing loss. It seems if regular earplug use were to cause hearing loss, it would have to be from physical damage from the earplugs inserted into the outer ear, and not from noise attenuation. Most likely, the earplugs would cause your ear to ache if they were causing physical damage. Otherwise, hearing sensitivity increases from using earplugs.
