I've got a girlfriend and we are so madly in love. I got a ring and I've asked her dad for her hand in marriage. Now I just need to propose. But how should I do it? I'm always hearing how these guys propose and it’s really cool. So I need some cool ideas on how to propose to her. Her friend was proposed to by her bf at the hospital. He showed her an X-Ray, and the ring was in it. When she heard this she said that she wanted to be proposed to in a cool way like that. So I know it has to be really extravagant. Any ideas?

Okay so I am the girl that he proposed to. It was the sweetest thing ever. We have been thinking about getting a cat for a while. So he comes home from work late and I'm a little ticked that he didn't call or anything. So he says, "How bout I make up for it. Let's go up to the cabin." So we get there and the phone rings. He says that the people in the cabin next to ours are having a bit of trouble with the lights and they don't have a flashlight or anything. So he says, "Okay we'll be there with a flashlight." So I figure we'll go there, give them a flashlight and leave. We start driving to their cabin and we get to the gate, the locked gate. We don't have a key. So we have to get out and walk up the hill, in the dark. I am not in walking shoes. We get up to this part where the road is flat and I see lights. Then my eyes start to see what it is. Someone has set up some candles and rose petals and music on this patio thing. It was so beautiful. Nick starts walking towards it and that's when I realize that this is all a set up. We get up there and he asks if I'd like to dance. So we start dancing and I ask what this is all about and he says, "I know you've been under a lot of stress lately and I wanted to do something for you to show that I love you and I'll always be here for you." Just then I hear this little jingle noise. I look down and there is this cute little baby calico kitten. She's got this white collar with a bell on it. I bend over to pet it and I see a ring on the collar. This beautiful platinum band with a rock on it. I gasp. Nick picks up the cat and hands her to me, takes the ring off, kneels down and says, "Heather, from the moment I laid eyes on you I knew that you were something special. So when we started dating I knew I was the luckiest man in the world. I love everything about you. And I love that I am a better person when I'm with you (Of course he was crying by now). You've made me the happiest I can ever be. But if you will do me the honor of being my wife, I know that will make me even happier. Heather T. H. will you marry me?" And I said YES! His best friend helped him with the whole thing. He put the cat on the patio, he even hid in the shadows and video taped it all. I am so happy that I will become Mrs. Heather Davis.

Well, you could rent a billboard sign and propose to her on that.... that'd be a bit pricey and you'd have to be creative on how to get her to this location without being suspicious...just driving down the highway and pointing wouldn't be good....

So.... I do think the typical dinner date and proposal is done enough, and I myself (been in a 2yr relationship) would prefer him to do something more creative BUT the really important part is the words he says before he asks..he could propose to me anywhere, but if the words are right thats what matters...

Is there a beach or nice park nearby? You could get one of those signs on the back of a small plane that flies around..take her out for a nice picnic and the plane would fly above....

Is there a romatic chinse restaurant around? Does she like that type of food? You could go ahead of time and see if its possible to put the ring in the fortune cookie for the end of the meal....

Theres probably ideas online, have you searched 'creative proposals' ? Well you sound very caring and she is lucky to have a man who loves her. God bless you both and congrats!

Aww thats so sweet! Yay I'm so happy for you!

Anyway...

Ring in food tends to be cliche, unless shes into that sort of stuff. You could put the ring on the collar of a cute puppy. Or your first date, and propose there.

Now this is extravagent:
Someone I knew proposed like this: He and his girlfriend were having a romantic dinner on the top of an appartment complex, it was really nice, candles roses, lights everything. He proposed, she said yes. Then he cued his friends, who then set off fireworks. How bout that!

Do something that portains to your relationship with this woman. Something you both share in common, or somethign that is significant to your relationship. The more it has to do with you, your relationship, and your love, the more meaningful it is.

A wedding proposal should always be memorable. It should always be something that both husband and wife can relive. The question doesn't change so think in terms of a unique location. A beach, mountain or some inspiring location that you can both visit again and again makes for an ideal place to pop the question. Just keep it romantic because, if she says yes, it will be "your place" for the rest of your married lives. Good luck and congratulations.

There was this one dude who took his girlfriend to an aquarium and said be right back got to go to bathroom. He went scube diving in the tank and held up a sign that said will you marry me?

Another guy i know gave his girlfriend a ticket to an amusement park. Then he dressed up as one of those funky characters and followed her around the park and was really nice to her. Then after following her all day at the end of the day he took off his head and said will you marry me?

You can always tell her you want to watch tv. When you sit down to watch tv have the remote on top of the ring and tell her to grab the remote.

Send it in the mail and plan when it will be there when she gets the mail propose.

Take her to a baseball game and on the scoreboard have them ask will you marry me "Karry"?

Take her out to eat and have one of those dudes that rent those signs put it in your yard that says will you marry me?

Have wedding balloons and wedding decor around your house. Have her over and when she says whose weddings say hopefully ours.

Be Creative

Just some thoughts hope she says yes no matter how you propose.

HINT when she said she wanted to be proposed in a cool way she wanted you to propose to her i am sure she will say yes.

I like the diamond commercial where the guy takes her to Paris and proposes and her family is all in the background cheering and clapping...

or I heard once a guy rented commerical time in a movie theatre and took her to the movies - her family and friends snuck in the back (I think the couple came in later when it was dark already).. and thisn guy made a commerical.. and at the end of it, he proposed on screen and when she looked at him next to her in the theatre, he was on one knee... saying "well, how bout it?"...

I agree, the more romantic the proposal, the more it shows her you have put some thought into it - which to a woman, shows you have put thought into her and what she would like.. us chicks dig romance... big time.

Isnt it all about the feeling involved and not actually the proposal. How about writing something with meaning that no one else can say only you. That would be enough for me. I would want to remember what my finance said to me,not where he put the ring.!!!

You should take her to a beach and find a pretty big seashell and when you get it try to put the ring in it but make sure it opens and when she opens it and is looking inside you should get down on you knees and when she looks up from the ring say will you marry me!

Go to the beach and bury the ring in the sand (but make sure you know where you buried it!). Then rent a metal detector and have you and her run it over the spot. When it goes off, get on one knee and dig it up. Then when you unearth it turn to her and say something like "Look what I found! I may as well make good use of it. (Her first middle and last name) will you marry me?" Oooh that would be so romantic! Good luck and I hope all goes well and I hope she says yes!
