Oh your tattooist obviously didn't educate you very well on aftercare.
First of all DO NOT SCRUB YOUR TATTOO WHILE WASHING. Very gently rub a mild soap on, rise of with warm - not hot and not cold - running water, and pat dry.
The ink isn't what is coming off, it is your skin (scab) that is flaking off with the first layer of ink.
All tattoos do it, do not worry.

Get a real tattoo and the ink will not wash away.

how long have you had the tattoo? for the first couple of times you wash it there should be some extra ink coming off of it and after it scabs up the scabs should start coming off and they usually come off while washing. just wash with your hands and soap, no rags or sponges or anything.

you shouldn't be washing it for a few days. you will have to keep it covered, until it starts to heal and scab over. but while this is happening, some of the ink will bleed out of your skin. don't worry....it is supposed to happen. but once it scabs over, you should be ok. don't pick at the scab or you could end up with a badly discolored tattoo! let the scab come off on it's own

Ok that cover that the artist put on after the tattoo is done is only suppose to be kept on for a couple of hours. After that you wash it gentle with anti bacterial soap like dial, pat dry with a clean towel, and then a thin thin layer of a & d ointment needs to be applied.

Something tells me that you don't have a real tat.

This is a temp. tattoo? It can not be real as real tats DO NOT WASH OFF! The only way it might fade or slightly wear off is if it was rubbed off or the scabs were peeled away before it has fully healed. The sun can fade tats so you should wear sunscreen on tats but they do not wash off!

I DONT THINK THE INK IS COMING OFF IT IS JUST THE UPPER LAYERS OF SKIN THAT IS DEAD FROM THE TAT STRESS.
