Well my daughter is 13 and she has a little hole in between her 2 teeth... I don't know if this is tooth decay because she doesn't brush her teeth before going to bed and she usually eats sweets before bed....

Please help does she need braces or a filling?!!

PS--About 3 yrs. ago my daughter's adult tooth came in before her baby tooth fell out. The dentist pulled the tooth out but there is a hole where the baby tooth used to be BUT THE ADULT TOOTH IS STILL IN THE BACK AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT!!!

PLEASE HELP

It's difficult to know exactly what you mean when you say that there is a hole between your daughter's 2 teeth...could you mean a space? A lot of times decay on front teeth will be very dark in appearance; however, most of the time you cannot diagnose decay unless there is an actual exam and x-rays done.

It does sound like the baby tooth/adult tooth situation may require braces. Did the dentist mention anything to you at the time? This seems to happen a lot when there is a lot of overcrowding and braces are the only way to correct this if it hasn't corrected itself on it's own.

You may be hesitant to go to the dentist for many reasons, but in the long run it will be better to get started now than to wait until more problems could possibly develop.

Good luck.

HELLO,

THE BABY TOOTH MAY NEED TO BE EXTRACTED TO ALLOW SUFFICIENT SPACE BETWEEN ALL THE PERMANENT TEETH. THE SMALL HOLE MAY BE ON THE PERMANENT ADULT TOOTH WHICH NEEDS TO BE FILLED.
IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO IS GO BACK TO THE DENTIST AND ASK SOME VERY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE ABOUT YOUR DAUGHTER'S TEETH.

My son's adult teeth all grew in under his tounge and worked their way forward pushing his baby teeth out and forward. It is because he has huge teeth!!! his exrays showed some monster teeth to come. dental check ups are a must. If theres no room, theres cavities!! blessed be~

take her to the dentist to see if its a cavity. As for the braces thing if it is affecting her speech or ability to eat or causing pain consult an orthodontist. If it does not bother her leave it alone braces are torture.

why don't you go ask a dentist instead of grossing people out. tell your daughter to brush her teeth. braces won't do a thing if she has teeth with holes. what are you thinking?

um for that i dont think it is braces she probably does need a filling for her cavitties but she being her mother it is best you make her brush her teeth every night and morning to prevent anymore cavities for anymore questions try going to you doctor
