I'm guessing you are still in education?
This makes it very difficult....
Are your parents Pagan? If so get them to wade in on your behalf, or sign a sick note...which ever makes them most comfortable!
If this is your own path, I suggest going to an R.S teacher and seeing if they can help!!
The other alternative I will deny saying if questioned.... pull a sicky, if you get found out point out how unjust it is that most Pagan festivals are not recognised! (obviously you can't use this argument for Yule or Beltane!!)
Or just take time out when you can and celebrate in your own way!!
Hope that helps,
Blessings :)

Your birth certificate is irrelevent. Many people do not stay the same religion their whole lives, so don't worry about that.
You say 'take your holiday' but where from? School? Work? Camp? Each place has different rules regarding religious holidays. You should find out from the proper authority at the place in question.
Myself, I don't mind working on religious holidays, but I will wear my pentacles on those days... and sometimes leave a little early.

From work, probably. I know I have every time one of my holidays has come up. However, you might want to be careful about whom to you talk to about your reasons for taking the day. The best way to do it is probably to say that you need a "personal" day. While they can't fire you for being pagan and practicing your religion, they can (and will) make working their a living hell if they are fundamental christian. You probably won't get paid for it, but that's more because of federally recognized holidays than about anything religious. If you're worried about it, take it as a vacation day. Then you don't have to explain yourself and you get paid for it.

I'm not sure where you'll be taking off from but if work they should give it to you. No the birth certificate doesn't make a difference. You weren't old enough to make that kind of decision at the time. If you are talking about school, I doubt they'll allow it. You can get your parents to sign you out and then make up your work.

It does not matter what is on your birth certificate, but most people don't take wiccan seriously, so you will have trouble convincing your boss that it's a legitimate holiday. As far as school goes, you get the days off that you get. You would need a letter from your parents or something to get a day off.

No difficulty with them. maximum are stimulated via television and flicks, not any unquestionably Coven. some have examine books via some older practitioners. yet, I dare say, very few truthfully persist with any of the policies that Gardner or Cunningham wrote. regrettably, even some persist with the BS satanic witch (evil) sort of stuff, not even on the subject of LeVay's Church of devil, or the the Beast Crowley's practices. right here, maximum are "underground" because of the psychopathic christians who nonetheless desire to burn them on the stake for worshiping the "devil" that they might't even define (whilst they cheat on their different halves, lie etc). yet, some do "come out" while they locate out that i'm not what they assume. no count number what others and adults might think of, those Wiccans often stay via extra desirable regulations than any of their associates. maximum do not do drugs, reckless intercourse, alcohol, or different issues that babies "usually" do. yet, they nonetheless are under pressure and threatened via the tolerant christians who desire to keep their souls. each and every so often i think of we are nonetheless in the midsection an prolonged time, different than the Church would not have an analogous capability it did.

Discuss with your Mum about taking time off school, discuss with your school - you may find people will think you are a joke.
Wait till you leave school and are earning then you can take any holiday if it fits in with your employer and you haven't already used up all your leave.

first, you should have your birth cert changed. That horrid that you were claimed into a religion without being old enough to decide for yourself.
as for taking a holiday, if you mean from school. You'd have to have your parents permission. From work, you'd have to request it off, and if they tell you that you can't you can claim religious discrimination.

You can take them, but you'll have to make up the work and get your parents to request it. The only religious holidays that are (usually) recognized to take off from work or school are Christian and Jewish.

Well, hopefully you will learn that Christ is the way, light, truth, and hope. Be allies with Christ and you will be powerful. God bless you.
^Spout your missionary **** somewhere else.
I respect other people's religions but you just insulted me and most likely her with that comment.
That is your personal beliefs and you don't need to attack hers.
ANYWAYS.
You didn't say if it was for school or work or what? You can always talk to your administrators/boss or whatever to find out for sure. I don't see why not though.
