I spliced to of my 6"x9" speakers into the rear speakers because i didnt have any more openings on my deck. would this affect the power or amount of sound that my speakers give out?

Depending on how you "spliced in" the 6x9's....

If you wired them in parallel (ran a wire from the + side of the 6x9 to the + side of the existing rear speaker & connected the negative side the same way), you would create more of a load on the deck which could make it run hot (not a good thing), in theory you would also get more volume because now you've added another speaker per side @ the same wattage output.

It you wired them in series (disconnected the positive wire from the rear speaker, connected it to the positive terminal of the 6x9, then ran a new wire from the neg terminal of the 6x9 to the pos terminal of the rear speaker), you would only get 1/2 the volume output per speaker because you've doubled the ohms (resistance) of the speakers, but you aren't putting more of a load on your deck either.

If you were to try it temporarily (say 5 mins or so) each way, you could see the difference for yourself & I'd say you wouldn't really hurt anything.

With what you have, to be safe, I'd wire them in series. Of course the better option would be to use your rca jacks (assuming non-factory deck) & run new lines to an external amp & connect your 6x9's to it.

Yes. The power that the deck puts out will be split between all the speakers. Also, wiring additional speakers in parallel like that will result in a lower load impedance for the deck, which might cause it to distort more easily or overheat, or might ultimately cause damage to the deck. It's not usually a good idea to run more than four speakers from a head unit.
