Is sex evil? Why does it need to wait till marrage? Why is it a sin? And what if you have sex before marrage?

Good question. Basically, the New Testament states that there can be only one woman for one man in marriage. Not much is mentioned about sex before marriage. Nothing is said about sex being bad, with the exception of homosexual sex, which is an abomination.
In the Old Testament, men were allowed to have many wives and concubines. Jesus's arrival later changed those views.
The idea of sex being evil was invented by the Catholic church for further control of their believers. If sex was so bad, then why did God make it so enjoyable?

The big deal about having sex before marriage is that the relationship may not last, your partner(s) may not be committed, your heart might get broken, you might get a sexually transmitted disease, you might get pregnant, you might have to raise a baby alone, you might have an abortion, you might decide you hate your partner, you might lose your self-respect or the respect of others, you might feel guilt, you might regret it later - and all of this could also happen in marriage. Is having sex before marriage a sin? The Bible says it is. The ancient Jews considered it less of a sin than adultery, as long as the woman wasn't married and wasn't a virgin.

It's not a sin. It's not always wise, but it's no sin. Christians don't seem to like sex much. Everything sexual is a sin to them except married hetero vanilla sex for procreation.

If you live by the old moral codes of the Bible however there are somethings in the Bible that are outdated for example: Slavery and a woman being silent in church. There are other things as well.

according to the bible, any sex that is not being used for creating babies only is a sin, and you have to be married.

sex is a very healthy and good thing, you should not listen to what the bible says about sex.

If you are really worried about sinning, you can always ask forgiveness.

There's nothing wrong with sex - but christianity relies on guilt, guilt, guilt, and convincing you you're a sinner who doesn't deserve god, so there it is.

Many religions have much healthier attitudes towards sex.

It's a sin if you believe it is. If you don't believe it, then it's not.

Whatever you believe is true--for you, not necessarily for others.
