Simple, there isn't one.
What else do you want to know, I've got lots of time left after I offered my point of view on "god"

To tell you the truth, I don't know and have been asking myself that question alot recently. Part of me says there is no God, the bible is a story, written at a time when people needed to believe in something bigger than themselves. Something I believe still holds true today. Who doesn't want to believe that there is more to life than what we experience on this earth. The other part of me believes in the scientific explanation - that life began (all life) when a combination of the right molecules meet. But then the question that comes to mind is - where did those molecules come from? Right down to the very smallest atom that we know of. Somehow, somewhere all that IS was started - how, when and why. I would like to know. I envy those that believe in God with all their heart, it must be very comforting. Me - the only thing I am sure of is that I will leave this earth never having an answer to my question. Thanks for asking such a thought provoking questions. Have a good life - hugs.

I wouldn't say I'm an athiest... i guess im agnostic. I guess i just dont believe that anyone really knows where we come from or what will happen to us. I dont think people are big enough to understand the really big picture. i respect your beliefs, but I just like to use my own logic and instinct to decide what kinds of behaviors i think are right or wrong. Please dont misunderstand and think I have no values. I have a LOT of strong values. I value what I see as some of the core points of Christianity... charity, community, kindness... But I just think people get caught up too much in the letter of the book, when its origins and meaning is so hotly contested.
I think that if there is a God in the way that Christianity describes him, he would not want us to fear him. I also don't think that he would be happy with many of the harmful acts that have been committed in his name over the years.
Why would someone give me a thumbs down for expressing my opinion in a respectful way? The question was to give my point of view, wasn't it? Just because you don't agree with my point of view doesn't make my answer bad. I respect everyone's differences and you should respect my opinion too.

First of all, Atheists don't believe that there is a God. That's what being an atheist means. A: meaning not and Theist: meaning believer of God. That's a pretty easy answer.
What do you mean point of view on God? What He's like? What His nature is? What? There is so much information that it can't possibly be answered in this forum.
I recommend you check out this book: Bruce and Stan's Guide to God. It's out of print but you can pick it up online at Amazon.com for a couple bucks. Check out chapter 2 Titled: Where did God come from? What is He like?.
It's an easy to read book and is funny and direct to the point. You'll enjoy the writing style and it will give you the answer I think you're looking for. (the rest of the book isn't bad either)

I believe in God as a very real and corporeal being, the spirtual Father of us all.
I think that anyone, regardless of their religious persuasion, needs to develop a close personal relationship with God, because He cares about you, and you'll feel better about yourself and the people around you.
I think atheists shouldn't automatically dismiss the idea of a God, but think through it carefully and even try to pray. If they still feel that way, then I would hope they would still abide by a moral code, but I believe most do.
I was upset a few days ago with what I perceived at the time as an unfair aspect of my religion. I felt that God would tell me one thing at one time, then shoot it down later. It seemed demanding and confusing. My friend said, "I don't believe in that kind of God." I agree. No matter what religion you are or aren't, I think everyone gets confused; it helps me to know that God isn't messing with you: if you really ponder your problems, often, seeming contradictions seem to work out.
Another thing that bothers me is the black-and-white dichotomy between the scientific method on the one hand and strict the-Bible-is-infallible Creationism on the other. My God works according to the laws of science, but does not get hung up on the current knowledge of science so much that that becomes a religion in and of itself. My God speaks through revelation, but one interpretation given by one translation at one time is not necessarily what He said. I think many people in the Great Religion Debates need to find a middle ground.
My thoughts, as requested.

I'm a Militant Agnostic.
I don't know if god exists and neither do you.
Only thing I know for sure is that religion is nothing to do with god. All "holy" books are lies. Prophets are phoney. Faith is the single-most stupid idea ever.
I don't apply my militancy to atheists because they have no burden of proof and they don't cause problems.
If there is a god, I believe him to be a deist god.
If he is inteventionalist at all, and if there's an afterlife - I expect he values people who think for theirselves.
Keep looking, there's more to this wonderful universe than just one book!
PS: Have a star. I like open questions like this that actually spark some debate, you get answers worth reading.

.... sorry, what's an athiests?
anyway, i believe God is the alpha and the Omega. he is everything. i mean, how do you explain everything here? we aren't aliens and science didn't create the "spark." not trying to start contravercey, but, stand up for what you believe in... even if you stand alone, right? but his only true son died just so we could get a chance for eternal life... who DOESN'T want to live forever? i mean, yeah, we all DO DIE but have a better "afterlife?" i mean, it's
a pretty sweet deal. God loves us no matter WHAT we've done and will forgive us.. all we have to do is pray for forgiveness and pray we'll be saved. God is everything. God is love and forever will love US.

God - Conceptually, God is the sum of all positive properties. He exists, of course, because all positive properties exist (and so must their sum). Whether or not God is a personal being, has been incarnated, takes an interest in human affairs, or interacts in human history is a matter of opinion, and (so far) is based on speculative philosophy, logical arguments, personal experience, and a belief in the personal experiences of others.

god is the supreme being in the universe, who came to the hebrews way long ago. and by the way, i don't wish to fight because i know that both atheists and christians hold their positions pretty steadfast, so it be pointless. also, who am i to say that the atheists are wrong? or that i can impede on their rights to have opinions?
(and even if god didn't exist, it isnt always bad to think someone is watching, it helps keep your morals in line)(and morals arent bad)

I don't believe in god so I don't really have a perception
If you mean what is my perception of the Christian god in the bible, then quite honestly, he's bigoted and cruel. He commanded murders, demanded sacrifices, killed his own son (yes i know it was for your sins, but come on, there had to be another way), he gives you free will but then punishes you if you make the "wrong" choice by not believing in him, murder and rape and all sorts of horrible acts are forgivable but blasphemy is not.
I could go on an on, but I don't think it's necessary.

Something had to start soemthing...even if the big bang is true and the God proposed in the Christian bible is not true there is still a greater being that has created life and the means necessary for life
