...or body language, or physical, verbal & (inferred) mental actions?
Is there a way to know ourselves beyond these?
Is there anything else?
I put this honestly forward to all, and would be interested in the sincere ones.
I'm hoping someone has been 'beyond' and can help us 'see'.
I have a feeling that acquisition of this skill may be beyond the average states of mind.
Am not an expert. :-)
Best Wishes,
A. R.

Some people say, that 'everything' that comes to ('the') mind, is not ours.
Be they 'internal' or 'external'.
Equally so.
Could that be the truth?
Or going a long way towards it?
Will need to ponder / reflect...

My friend,
You have received some truly wonderful answers to a great question! I could not elaborate, nor do I feel it wise to. As it has already been mentioned, you are already seeking the next level. The Journey is different for us All (we have arrived at the same place), the Joy is in the Journey,. "It doesn't matter. It just doesn't matter." You are right where you are supposed to be. I can simplify All your great answers though in three words:
Self-awareness
Prayer
Meditation
The more we look to our insides for the answer (it's always been there, but shut off due to the conventionality of the world), ask for guidance and strength from the One (All is One) and meditate on both answers we receive, we arrive at the place we are and have/never have been. Don't be so hard in seeking, let it flow. Open mindedness.
Namaste
Peace and Love
Ordinary life and Buddhahood have no distinction. Great knowledge is not different from ignorance. Why should one seek outwardly for a treasure, when the field of the body has its own bright jewel?

that's what basic psychic ability is about isn't it? About seeing beyond the physical and percieving something that may provide a more detailed view of things. I've read a few books on this, and one in particular suggests this is a talent that can be trained and learnt, because it is a latent talent (hey those two words have the exact same letters in them... cool) we all have. I've seen it on Amazon: You Are Psychic by Pete A Sanders.
There is also another good book I've read on the topic, although it is an investigation into paranormal activities: Beyond The Occult by Colin Wilson.
Then if you're interested in the more mystical information available a book like The Grimoire For The Apprentice Wizard by Oberon Zell-Ravenheart might be more up your alley, or you could visit his site http://www.greyschool.com

Yes, there is. It is one of the gifts. It contains lessons as well, but then all the gifts do. Somewhere along the line, I discovered that (if you were here in front of me) I can see your higher self, who you are in your ultimate perfection, on the other side. (The portion of you which is incarnate here, is only a small part of your total being) It is a very tough gift to live with, though, and I am still a long way from understanding or mastery of it. The hard part comes with dealing with who you are in your current third dimensional incarnation, baggage and all (and not to mention my own baggage tagging along). Well, that's one of the hard parts anyway, to be able to see all this beauty, then to deal with the all too human qualities of a person. It's kind of hard to describe how the two can clash, it's something that has to be experienced really, how it changes the way you react to people... I imagine there are also probably other gifts along those lines as well..... As for how to help you learn how to do that for yourself, I'm not sure that I could. We are presented with "gifts" along the way. Each gift is according to lessons that you need to learn for your development, and also goals that you chose before your incarnation here. Each gift contains a lesson or lessons, and learning what the lesson is, and how to handle it, is to prepare you for the next gift, in order to assist in the development of your spirit. You may be allowed to receive this gift, or you may receive others instead. Just try to remain open, and notice things that happen around you, and see if you can determine if you may currently be working on one of the gifts, and the lessons that go with it, understanding that you have received such a gift, will help you to learn how to use it faster, as you would then be aware that you have received it, and will be more alert to learning to use it, and seeking the lesson(s) contained. I hope this helped you in your quest. Good luck...
Edit on your additional details : Thank you :)

I get the impression that you're asking these questions because you're ready for the experiences. You must already, to some extent, believe it's possible and now you feel the desire to take it to the next level.
Yes, there are many ways. There are some mentioned throughout my 360 blogs that I've had much success with. I've discovered first-hand that we are naturally telepathic and clairvoyant, plus we have many abilities that deal with manipulations of our own consciousness such as the simple ability to 'get into someones head'. In this case, you're literally projecting a portion of your mind into their mind,(many do this without realizing it) and perceiving their inner thoughts and feelings. When you feel connected, emotionally or otherwise you are literally 'joining' minds. Notice the differences. Notice the 'invisible' exchange of information that occurs with eye contact. There may be a surge of information, sensations, or images that appear woven or mixed with your own thoughts, etc., but seem different, out of context or weaker than your own.(notice how their body language and words reveal their thoughts and mental processes) Your own thoughts and feelings bear your unique 'signature'. You must learn to recognize your own inner world before you can explore anothers inner world, but with practice you can learn to see as another sees. At this stage in the game know that it's possible and there is much else. Experiment and compare notes with others. There are many like myself that have been beyond.(I hope) The internet is a strange place to exchange these type of insights, but I still believe it's within the abilities of the average person. I suggest you assemble all the useful answers you receive here as one big answer.
-----“The natural person is to be found, now, not in the past or in the present, but beneath layers and layers of official beliefs, so you are dealing with an archeology of beliefs to find the person who creates beliefs to begin with. As I have said often, evidence of clairvoyance, telepathy, or whatever, are not eccentric, isolated instances occurring in man’s experience, but are representative of natural patterns of everyday behavior that become invisible in your world because of the official picture of behavior and reality.” ~ The Magical Approach, session ten.

Yes... but you have to look past yr views and while you're at it observe yr self observing the actions of someone else and feel yr thoughts after being in touch with yr feelings. That's an other state of awareness beyond the average daily state of mind. It's the multidimensional state of being-ness.

Well, you can know someone beyond all of those physical expressions when you look at them through a reflection of God, or in other words, see their divine potential.
Jesus had the ability to look beyond the physical, and see the hidden intents of people. To the Pharisees he said,
27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. (Matthew 23:27)
...and many more amazingly rude things did he say to the Pharisees in Matthew 23! Sometimes truth is the most offensive thing of all! It's like a scourer, scrubbing at the dirt of misconception... sometimes painfully harsh, but in the end, well worth it!
Another instance of Jesus seeing the "inner man" is described in this scripture:
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
(John 1:47)
Sometimes I get an inkling into this kind of discernment.
Jesus spent a long time in his youth pondering, and allowing the Truth to distill down upon him like dew from Heaven. He continued to do this throughout his life. He often went off by himself, during his ministry, to pray and commune with God.
Our "inner man" shines like a light bulb, with layers of soot accumlated from years of misconception and self-deceit. We try to polish off the soot, and in purifying ourselves in this way, the light from within can shine on all things, words and people that we come in contact, revealing everything as it really is. Such cleansing of the self can take a whole lifetime, because we might consider the "soot" like stained glass, somehow beautifying the outside of the bulb, while tainting the quality of light that it sheds.
If we never stop polishing, we might begin to see the light and be able to discern the "hearts of man". The primary thing is to get our own light bulbs clean.
:-)
Love and Peace to all.

Today has been a lyrics day for me...
(Gnarls Barkley - Go-go Gadget Gospel Lyrics)
I'm well on my way
I'm almost everything
And this is my day
Make me wanna sing
I'm free, look at me
And all and everything
I'm allowed to see
Free, come and see
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Shapeless, Formless
I can harvest enormous
I've born this, I've worn this
No never what the norm is
Come here it's fearless
Contrast in colour
Wisdom's a woman
Listen and love her
I'm free, look at me
Freedom in Hi Fidelity
Free, come and see
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
What you waiting on
I want action, passion, smiling
Laughing, yielding, feeling
Helping, healing
Introduce your neighbour to
You savior
I'n free, look at me
Freedom in Hi Fidelity
Free
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
-----
To know the beyond is to know the light within all; is to know the self within all.
Peace and Love

If one truly knows themselves all will be known. ~ : ) Don't think, slowly untruth will drop away until only truth remains. Truth isn't something gotten from outside, everyone already has it, it's just covered over with alien dust brought from outside. ~ : )

I know this is so cynical, but I don't think that anyone can actually know another person.
Sorry! I hate to say this. But I think it is true. I think deep down we will never truly know another person.
