Thank her for her concern, but tell her your daughter's medical condition is something you and her doctor are handling. I don't know why your only 2 options are to offend her or to say nothing. Speak politely and tell her you're handling it.

I am assuming you have discussed this with your husband and it has not gone anywhere. If not you should try this route first. And if all else fails... Trust me on this one. You need to tell her to mind her own buisness. The problem will get worse and if you don't say it now then later it will blow up in your face.

first, stop letting her in on your business. if she has less info, she won't have anything to advise you on.if she asks how things are, tell her fine and change the subject. ask your husband to honor your wishes as well. it's really no one's business how you daughters allergies are treated or anything else for that matter.

Ask her what qualifications she has-& tell her if you want her advice you'll ask for it. When are you going to get a backbone? you're sombody's mother, you're a grown up parent. What is with this ultra 'respect' for someone is only your peer? Stop acting immature.

tell her that you don't tell her how to bring up her kids because it's non of your business so she shouldn't tell you how to take care of your child because it's non of her business. Or tell her when you went advice you will ask until then don't give me advice because I don't need it right now.

Tell her that it's not her child and you don't want her advice.
or just nicely say..."I'd rather take her to the doctor..just to be sure, ya know?"

Tell her to worry about her kids and you'll worry about yours and if you want her advise, you'll ask for it.
