I've heard of things like iDoser, but I'm more looking for things like that, but that make your brain relaxed.

Ahh i know this one well, i invested in one of those homedics sound machines/clock and i always put it on the rain sound...works like a charm. If you want to opt for a cd i used to use incubus's song on the morning view album "aqueous transmission" looped. Great song, did the trick well. Good luck.

There has been a lot of research on this subject! When I was at LSU in 60's, a friend was in a research program where they were depriving him of sleep and seeing how little sleep he actually needed to function! I remember ads for different sleep tapes (cassettes) that you could order by mail. As another answer states, the rain sounds are great and really work. I used to have a rain tape that someone gave me but I don't know where to look for it. I am sure certain sound waves are more soothing. I am a performing musician and have thought about this a lot.
